Possible bug

Sometimes when trying to open my vendor store I get a message telling me Opening vendor denied. Is this because there are too many vendors? Or is this simply a bug?

sounds like you were trying to press the shop button?

to sell your stuff you have to type /sell

the shop button is for the cash shop which during CB wasnt implemented

No i was not opening the cash store.

I was setting my char up as a vendor to sell things i have to other players. Sometimes after listing the items and prices when I hit the ok button i would get a shop denied notice.

This has nothing to do with cash shop this is setting up a vendor like you see in the square all the time.

After the whole dragging the item and giving it a price you then accept and the bubble goes over your head with the store name, sometimes when i got to that point I would get the message denying the store from opening.
