After weeks of careful observation and planning, General Drekard has decided that the new recruits of Xen are ready to begin their first steps in a war against the evil forces of Alastor and the corrupted Marian. Days have passed since Alastor last led a dreadful army to the gates of Brynhilld and Essene, testing his opponents and scouting their defenses. Unfortunately for Alastor, he knows little about the true strength of Xen’s warriors.
Our plan is simple. Scouts from the Xen Bureau of Investigation have spotted a secret gathering of monsters to the east, and learned of their plan to attack Essene and Brynhilld. It is an army the size of which few have seen since the Sibling War and it appears they mean to besiege our cities and completely destroy our forces… and we will let them. We will fight as if it were our final battle, but then we will disappear and let Alastor believe he has won.
We will abandon Brynhilld and Essene and go into hiding. Once hidden, we will organize and plan. We will create new strategies and learn new skills. We will enhance our training methods and master new techniques. We will learn from our mistakes and grow stronger. Then we will return. We will return to our cities and raise an army more powerful than anyone on the continent of Xen has ever seen. We will defeat Alastor and take our kingdom back once and for all. While Alastor will think the war has ended, in truth it has only just begun.
AWESOME! A back story!! Granted, I am not sure what the last paragraph means but I, for one, am STOKED at the prospect of an event that perpetuates the backstory of this game!
Anyone have any ideas as to what's going on? Anyone want to hypothosize? GMBREAK, thanks for this!!
