Well it is CBT should of known it was futile to argue about it. I'm glad to have a wipe, even more happier that we retain our characters that go back to lvl 1, means are sn's wont be snatched. I played it smart tho only played to 48 reported all the bugs/errors in game and was done with it. I'll play again once OB comes out.

Mt question is, although our levels are being rolled back, what about our equipment, skills and inventory? I don't mind holding them in the hotel until I can use them, I just don't want to lose them! I had 2 LB's I hadn't even opened yet LOL

its sorta tough to say weather or not items will be deleted. I'm going to say items and kron are going to be deleted. Reason why is because there's a chance (tho i never saw one) there being a dup program and someone could have dupped a good amount of items that have +6,+6ap. while the game was still in its most vulnerable state. LB's I'm sure will remain as cashsparks isnt out yet for SoS and its a great way to get the new players addicted to the cool looking customs then taking them away some time later on.

all items will be deleted for the simple reason to protect the economy of the game. otherwise people with special/high lvl items will be able to set the prices of these items too high and screw up the whole economy.
just my thought, but this is the case with every closed beta i've ever seen.

I think he is called skill master. I went to him a few times. He wont change you until you are level 20. He only resets your stats back to minimum required for your class and then you can redistribute the rest.

Speaking of stats - if you are happy how your character performs, I encourage us all to write down our stats so we can rapidly work our way back to normal asap. ^_^

As the announcement has been made, yes there will be a character reset and you will be able to retain your name. This is a necessary step in order to transition from Closed BETA to Open BETA and I assure you that it will be worth it!

Oh well, i got my fighter to level 27 in 3 days over 5-ish hours of playing, too bad the transfer from Closed Beta to Open Beta requires character reset. Other games i have played don't. Too bad i was interested in this game a lot but having to start all over for my main and the agony for the other players who have worked harder and longer is a bummer. The community was nice but i was looking forward to keep the levels. That's that and i'm done with this game. Goodluck to SoS's future!

Yea agree esp when later on your playing the game and you can tell people I helped shape how SoS is played. It would be nice if everyone of us CBT got a title that let OB know who was a CBT. oh well 23 isnt alot of work esp when the first 10 lvls are given to u pretty much. lol I just feel sry for people like strider/xie ect ect who i know where 65 or higher

Well, to many, it is small and yes its 27 levels. BUT the main factor for me is starting all over from scratch and spending another 5 hours to get where I'VE BEEN. And there is a gamer/character connection there in some way where it's discouraging to start leveling again after seeing him go from 1 to 27 back to 1. I don't others dont sense that sort of connection. Maybe im just weird.

I think it'll be worth it, to have everyone come to OB as level 1. I was very impressed with everything but the economy (there needs to be more organization than just mini-shops. pricing was horrible). But being in CB has won me over enough to keep playing when OB comes out. And to those who have never played, take this from a CB tester: IT'S FUN! Seriously. The game is worth the time. I'm just happy I don't have to re-download that bad boy. o.o; 3 hour download. seriously.

From what I understand, no. We are keeping our character names so the buddy list should remain the same. However, I haven't had this confirmed by a GM yet.

They are practically restarting the whole game and re-editing most scripts for NPCs and adding more units, classes, skills.. Whatever they want to be in the Open Beta. :)
