OK, I just hate it when people say "I hate the dumb suck up GMs" But when ever i see them when there logged on, they say "Whoa, a chest? Thanks GMblahblah, you're the best!"

Then i saw them say that so the next day they say they hate the GMs :confused: :confused: It makes me wonder, do people really dislike/hate the GMs like i do? I may come to some of the events, but thats if a friend wanted me to come or if i know there are no GMs in site. You can say what ever you want about the GMs, just don't flame me if it's about anything else besides GMs. Thanks you for reading this.

I've never had an issue with a GM. I don't beg them for stuff or call them names every time they log in. They are the face of Outspark. They're there to see how things are going and to help uphold the rules. As far as a GM flaming you in game, I wonder if it wasn't someone impersonating a GM. But I don't know all the circumstances from both points of view so I can't say.

I've interacted with Neko, Straega, and Phibes in game and on the forums and haven't had a problem. I've seen Silky a few times, but he's usually 'afk'. And his posts come off a bit mean, but I think he just has a more businesslike approach and isn't meaning them as a personal attack. Bribbo used to do a lot of the puzzles but I don't see him much any more.

I just try to keep in mind, they're people, too. They have good days and bad. I can get caught on a bad day and have a reaction that sends my friends and hubby saying, "What?! That's not you!". Actually, when that happens, all they can says is "Katie?!".

I hope things go better for you. They're not all bad. (I haven't met a bad one, yet, but that's my own opinion.)

Thats not all they have dont to me. One time, there was a boss battle, and the wouldn't let me play, that could mean that there were to many people or something, but my friend just walked up, asked, and they said sure. Now either the GMs hate me or they hate me...

Well, the purpose of it was to see if anyone actually hated the GMs like they say they do but when a event comes up they "love" them. All but 1 friend says they "hate" the GMs until a event comes and they "love" them. One friend sticks by me and hates the GMs with me.

I understand how sometimes GMs make you feel bad about certain times in the game. I am sure they are just trying to do their job and avoid this. If the GMs seriously did not care about us and only cared about their duty, then I have to say that is very pathetic because the whole idea of making great money is doing your job and make the customer feel comfortable about the product or game. Like you said about Nekopon, she is the only GM I know who loves us as much as any other GM would(probably more than Dakkon but I'm not going into further details about him ). I love her more than anyone else in the Fiesta community. I'm such a musical geek that I twisted a song about her.

Everyone is bringing up good points.

My thoughts really quick:

First off, a GM sees ALOT of chat .. I can only imagine a screen of theirs: shows roars, whispers, regular, shouts, etc.

Secondly, a GM does work outside of the game (improvements, maintenances, forusms, etc.) as well as popping in game to: do events, say hello, etc.

Thirdly, no I am not a GM and so on but I have to imagine they are very busy people.

However, if you have provided a ticket to a CSR as in the above post and nothing has come from it, then either provide another one .. you are also supposed to get an email stating the reasons of the ban. If you did not get your email, I would clearly state that in the next ticket I sent in to the CSR.

GM's flaming... hmmm. I am sorry that happened to you but again... SS's are essential in such a case. It would be your word against...well.. the GM . Providing a SS would be necessary.

As many posts have said, people just 'say' they hate the GM's but don't really mean it, while some still wears their masks and pretends to like them, but somehow has a hatred for them. I could be going too far, but bleh. @.@

The GM's aren't really bad people. I think probably the only ones I can actually warm up to, or vouch to have good attentions, are Neko and Straega. (I may not know the rest.)

Hm. Weird...I never seen them act like their stuck up. o_o Maybe I've been missing something...

Thought I'd hop in and ask a few things. First off, as mentioned, we maintain a very strict policy on ensuring that we represent our company very positively, and with integrity. With that said, I beleive that most of us here naturally have a genuine care for all of our users, beleive it or not, without having be reminded that we need to follow some sort of "code". It's because we like interacting with all of you, and we all like doing what we do.

Now, I cannot speak for your experiences first hand because your reasoning behind this "hate" feels a bit vague. Because it is so, I'm curious. Let's clarify a few things:

I need to know what you mean by "brag". Having watched the GMs very closely, I can say confidently that there is no one here that abuses their powers.

I'd like to know what you're also referring to when you say "suck-ups" as I'm not sure who we're sucking-up to.

We DO NOT flame, by my definition, which I'm assuming is the same as yours. It goes against our ToS, which as a user is against the rules, but as a GM is conduct even more unbecoming.

Again, you're free to post this if you feel so strongly about it and I'm not intentionally trying defend anyone, just looking for some clarity in this post.

Requirements:
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or higher
- Must be able to commute to headquarters on a daily basis
- Fluent in the English Language (written and oral)
- Knowledge of today’s gaming industry
- Proficient computer skills (troubleshooting, MS Office products, basic networking)
- Strong passion for games and be able to master a game in a short amount of time
- Strong skills, self-directed, detail oriented, motivated, supportive and team spirited.

Some of these are different, depending on what company you work for.

As you can see, being online ingame and talking to the players is just a small part of their job. Some people hate the GMs because they never whisper back or just stand afk ingame. Do they honestly think they are looking at their screen reading the chat eating donuts and talking to their friends on the phone? Ofcourse not. They are busy with other things with a higher priority (like meetings and other stuff) than answering a whisper "plzzz I got hacked", which can be solved by just sending in a support ticket.

I guess I'd want my two cents in here too.

First, I don't think people that hate us would actually post or vote on it because they'd think we'd get mad at them or target them in the future, etc. But the case is, I want to know what we can improve to make us better if we are in fact, "hated." If anything, I don't mind being hated as long as I know there is something I know I can do to fix the problem.

Two, some people need to understand that CSRs are not GMs and GMs are not CSRs. We're two different departments and we don't do the same things. If you send a ticket to CSR, GMs are not the ones that will solve them for you. Problems like banning, suspension, and all kinds of other ToS breaking reports goes to CSR. Events, productions, content, I guess the "game stuff" is on the GM end. Sometimes people confuse us because we would promote good behavior in game and punish the bad but this is only because we're not gonna just sit in-game and let these things happen in front of us. That'd be plain wrong.

This also brings up to one of the big points why I hear people say they hate GMs. It's because they get banned or suspended, or get a reply (or none) from the tickets that they didn't like or happened in their favor. In actuality, CSRs are the judges for these and they are completely unbias people. They will adhere to the rules no matter what. So whenever I hear this in-game, "GMS ARE MEAN THEY BANNED ME FOR NO REASON", I will direct them to CSR.

Third, GMs can't answer everyone. I know you haven't seen our screens but everytime I'm in game, I see walls of shouts, whispers and general chat all targeting at me. Honestly, I think I can only answer to 50% of those questions in time even with uber typing speed skills. Whispers are especially hard during events when you're trying to type a kajillion commands and people are asking why you're not whispering back and if you hate them... No, I'm just busy. I'm sorry.

Fourth, I'm never AFK. If I'm AFK, I'm not on Fiesta. So how can you tell if I'm on Fiesta? You can check my profile to see if I'm online. I might not be on your server but you can check by whispering me. I'm not in "show" mode a lot of the times because I'm multi-tasking and I can't be multi-tasking if I'm answering 300 questions per minute (exaggeration intended). Just drop me a line sometimes and I'll try to answer you in-between my multi-tasks. :]

Last point, which is also the main "answer", I suppose. I don't believe people "hate" or "love" GMs. They "love" us when we're online and we're doing events, giving out prizes, or updating new and fun content. Then they "hate" us when they don't get a reply, they die in those events, not get those prizes, or dislike the new content.

I'm not speaking for all GMs here but I genuinely care for the players and what they're experiencing in and outside of the game, in the forums. You can often find me online on Fiesta maybe from 10 in the morning till 2 at night with some breaks in the middle for food or bathroom... We love interacting with the players and get feedback- what they like or not like, the upcoming issues, etc. I especially love creating new events for you guys, I always tend to imagine- "What if I was the player in this event, would I have fun in it?"

Even if you "hate' us, we love you. <3
