Connection to servers has failed..

Ok this has been going on for days now. Everyday I start up the launcher, log in, and every time it says connection to servers has failed. The game has had full accesa for a long time(I have mcafee) and now all of a sudden I cant play anymore. Can someone enlighten me please?:(

*sigh* i just tried it today. after being gone from fiesta and sos for a while, i wanted to play fiesta... but i got the same thing. i was gone for quite a few days due to personal issues. i came back wanting to play the game, now i hav nothing... i guess ill keep trying a couple more times, then ill just quit untill it works again:(

I STRONGLY reccomend, that U HAVE UR ANTIVIRUS ON!! IF u have ur firewall off.. That way ur not completely vulnerable to bugs, and viruses... sorry i forgot to mention it.. :P

A firewall does not ever replace an antivirus package. They are 2 completely different entities in that respect. A firewall attempts to stop rogue/outside attacks from malicious users and worms. The antivirus is there to stop and remove anything you may have already picked up from viewing websites, running 3rd party apps, anything p2p, etc.

No need to turn the firewall off if you go into the options for it, and add Fiesta to the exceptions list, and give it a full run at the UDP ports.

I agree Xanthros, u are right, but I was too lazy to bother typing the whole explanation, since I am in school with limited amounts of time. NO need for an argument about something irrelevant to the question asked here> As for the firewall thing I conceed u are also right, however, MY firewall thing, does not accept the Fiesta port acceptance, so that is why I DID SO. However, for others without IOLO, it would probably work just like you said. FOR others reading this, Xanthros cleared this up.. :P Sincerely KIABOSK.

Seems like I'm still facing the problem.Though before you mentioned the firewall I already disabled it but still I've got no idea how to fix this problem.The server is up and running while I can't connect to the server facing 'The connection to the server has ended' problem.Any solutions?

It's not the firewall problem I already switched put it in the exception and I tried till i have to switch it off.But to no avail it's still the same.Last time it was still okay I could just login and play but now,at first i counter the launcher applying patch error which I just solved based on the one of the forumers help and now it's another problem with the connection.I'd really hope someone could help me out.

After the post,I tried to open the launcher it worked fine but i get this same thing again.Is there any solution?Rebooting the computer or reinstalling the game doesn't seem to affect it at all.

Yea... I finally got my problem fixed with the patch.. now the servers aren't working.. my firewall is not on.. so I know it's not that. :(

Same problem here.

I'm curious as to how the client communicates with the server (ie which ports and in which direction) as I rely on having a NAT'd firewall and that could be clocking outbound connections, but I block most inbound attempts.

All outbounf TCP and UDP traffic is enabled for me, so unless the ports conflict with other apps ports, then I must be preventing inbound connections.

Port lists would be most useful.

i've got a problem patching up... the status "applying patch" has been there for 4 hrs already n i believe nothing is patching. i've tried putting fiesta in firewall's exception list... i've tried reinstalling the whole game... i've tried rebooting my pc... nth works. help?

i used the same client i downloaded on my desktop and upload it to my laptop. it works on my laptop, but it doesnt work on my desktop.

well it did work on my desktop, 2 days ago but when i log out and log back in again, it doesnt work any more.. @_@

my laptop uses vista, and my desktop uses xp.

i turn off all the firewall and antivirus crap. no luck.
