Noob quest "Exchanging a Sword"

When i go the weapon manager and he gives you the sword of novice, he just gives me the same quest i had... im at a loss of what to do, ive asked lots of people for help but they wont :(

Did you go back to girl who gave you the quest?

Yeah she just tells me i cant move on until i complete the quest :(

Have you equipped the sword by going to your inventory and double clicking the sword? Read what she says carefully she will tell you more than once on different quests to either equip what you have just received or drink a potion and then talk to her again.

I see... Ill have to look more carefully at the quest.. give me a couple of minutes.. although she just told me to go find the guy and exchange the blades.. but ill look again just for good measure :P

Ok i really gotta say *** because now that ive done the quest 5 times and have 5 novice swords... she finally tells me Congrats! Your ready to move on!
