Total noob question

Whenever I walk around in the city, I see hundreds of people standing still with a message they are selling something. How can I check out what they are selling? I can't click on anything anywhere. Maybe I missed a quest or maybe this has something to do with the ''housing'' system (which I really don't understand). Any help would be appreciated.

double click the box that sais.... "im selling stuff" Or whatever they put up.

Also, how do I go into ''selling-mode'' myself like them?

you can set up your own shop by pressing alt & v, then just drag and drop in your items in the whop window. It will ask you how much you want to sell items for.
