Power Leveling- It's a real problem

ok i know your trying to be nice and help your friend but there IS A LIMIT!,,,just saying before you all flame me

so i was killing wearbears today on my fighter mk
and a lvl 80 archer with some lvl 20 mage starts kiteing and takeing EVERYTHING i couldnt get a hit in before she and he said "KS KS IM REPORTING" >> whatever so i threatened to report for spot claiming because they were hence the words they said " go away were plvling here this is ours" which brings up another point....so in WHICH SAYING THAT! the mage says " whats plvling?" ....i wanted to cut my comp in half with a machete...if you dont know what it is -_- you dont frikken need it

its just horrible isnt the tower ENOUGH to be considered plvl? now you gotta take other ppls monsters they need for quest so you can power level some noob that dont even know the word? please just go away >> we dont need it with all the otherr problems

Far to frequently, the one being pleveled seems to feel that those around him/her are newbies.
In reality, they're the Newbies.
They're playing a game, and they're so lazy, they can't even play the game.
They have to let other people play the game for them.
And in the process, from what I've seen the plevelers resort to Kill Stealing.
Which in my understanding is a violation of terms of service.

one other thing, It's one thing to help someone with a single tough monster or a tough level or 2, it's quite another to try to let them ride on your work for 30-60 levels while they sit back and coast through.

Not only the higher lvls, lower lvls have no respect for others either.
Prime example is all the 7x taking every cursed knight/silver/gold in FM :P That's a 9x mob, and a quest for the lvl90s, but you won't ever see the 7x move so the 90 can get their quest done.

Plvling is annoying, but I liked it on my second cleric xP Already knew how to play the class, just wanted faster lvls through 47-5x, but that was in abyss, not in a questing map. @.@

There should be a lvl limit to receiving exp, not in a pt ^^
If someone in your party is 20+ lvls higher, you only get 10% of the exp you would normally be getting. Something like that :)

I only powerlevel friends who I'm sure know how to play the game/class. And the whole "pt me need 5% for lvl" doesn't cut it :P If you can't cap one character with no powerleveling, you shouldn't be capping at all.

im currently powerleveing my new mage with my 9x archer i already have a 7x mage that farms kkp and i put my new mage on a dif account solely so i could plvl her and not have to do all the quests i have already done 4 times before

that said when lvling her i will pty ppl who need what im killing at the time i wont pty some noob who comes along and just wants to join for the exp, i will also leave plenty of mobs for the ppl who need them

like someone before said its the players attitudes that need changing not the fact that plvl is possible

I've always been against plvling. It encourages lower levels to become spoiled, money beggars and quitters.

Personally I don't have the patience to plvl. if someone asks me, I tell them that and tell them it's not so hard to level and give them some advice on how to level without the aid of being plvled.

In my opinion, if you can't level on your own, find a different hobby. go collect Pokemon cards or stamps. I can master any game in a course of a week and gain 30 levels in a month or two depending on the game style and I've only been into gaming for over 2 years now.

To be honest i do not mind plvl at all, what bothers me is people being rude. I was in burning rock helping a friend with moles and cores, and this one mage kept ksing me and my friend, we asked them over and over to please stop on the 4th or 5th time the mage told me to f off and get in my own field and level, i clearly explained i was helping a friend, but he didnt appear to like it nor respect it. it's not like i was in my house leeching exp or going over to take his monsters. I'm really funny when it comes to peoples space.

And just a little tip for those who plvl out there, who tell others to get lost out of there spot or anyone who spot claims, "SPOT CLAIMING IS A TERMS OF SERVICE VIOLATION" dont claim a spot is yours when it's not, have some repsect for other people. I'm so sick of people pushing others out of a certain spot. it's called sharing, if you cant share go somewhere else or go do something else and come back later, there is no reason to swear and get personal at others.

Same when farming for mushrooms i'm sick of people trying to kill other people who are trying to collect them, it's not nice. There is no need for it at all. go away come back later or SHARE.
i've seen this too many times, i saw a couple of low lvls picking shrooms in elevn woods and another character thought it was funny to lure huge mobs over to get them killed, so he could have them all to himself, but i wouldnt let him because A. i would have died too B. it's not a nice thing to do.
i've also had where someone farming has caused problems for other people needed shrooms but he was increadibly rude about it.

so my conclusion is SHARE or come back later and have RESPECT

Whenever I power leveled someone on quest mobs and someone who needs them comes along, I either party them or I move. Wouldnt that just make things easier and nicer for everyone? e.e

But power leveling is becoming to be a big problem now, alot of drama and hating is being caused from it ><.

There is a lvl limit on xp in a party. If something is more than 30 lvls higher than you, you will only get 1 xp from each mob killed. Maybe the archer that had the lvl 20 mage with them was using the mage as an xp boost for herself, because (s)he does, in fact, get a boost from partying the nub xP

Why dont you do what i do? Everytime some nub asks i bring them to abyss and kill them, and then i block them XD. But yeah... Seems more than half of Fiesta is full of noobs who think 10s will get them from 40-50, not to mention The Tower made them worse... And Castle makeing it even worse o:, No one knows how to use their classes anymore, except the ones who usually have higher leveled characters, or are just cool, either way... I've been wanting to post a similar thread like this one regarding Plvling. Recently I've been experiencing so many ks'ings and seeing players who don't even know their class and/or are leeches 'cause they're so used to someone giving them exp on a silver platter. It really ticks me off when I'm trying to get good exp from KQ's like MD, and find that half the people just sit there leeching 'cause they don't want to help kill the boss. So naturally, the KQ fails half the time due to no one attacking MD ._.

I completely agree that the tower was enough; this game is ridiculously easy as is (except for higher levels) and I just wish that newbies will realize Plvling is not the only way to level >.>;;

This is why I avoid towns as much as possible and tell noobs I'm busy which I always am. I'm either Farming, trying to lvl, Helping my wife or Vending. I only Plvled for money or for friends in the past nothing more.

I know exactly who this post is referring to; because I was there. Unfortunately I don't remember the person powerleveling the mage and I saying anything to anyone in such words.. but alright. We've been playing this game for quite a while and we power level for guild buffs. She power levels anyone below level 25 and sometimes even 30. Sometime's its for money while other time's it's because a bunch of friend want to hang out and talk. She enjoys it, and she's more then willing to do it because it's for guild buff. We get character to level 20, do the job change, nice guild buff. Not every character of mine has been power leveled, and not every character will. But if you are questing and she's there (which yes; does happen to be a lot) ask her to join the party. She won't mind. Hot's a nice person. (Her IG name). She is willing to help as much people out as she can, unless you have started the trash talk. Okay; so some people get annoyed at this. That's understandable. She's more then willing to relocate if you ask nicely. If you're there first, we leave and come back later. It's not the end of the world, and the mage does like to be a smart bish half of the time. That's just his personality. Anyhow any inconvience you came from this, we apoligize. Just ask to join parties next time. Problem solved.

I dont plvl much at all unless its a close friend who needs help. And when i happen to invade another person(s) where they were questing, i often add them to the party or move somewhere else. I try to be as nice and helpful as possible to everyone. I know what its like to be soloing/partying with friends and have the whole field taken by some mean/rude person ._. Ive even saw one person get plvled to 50 all the way from 20. You know what the funny thing was? I beat that person to 50 too (that person was 43 when i reached 50)...without being plvled. Well one of the low post counters' account is over a year old. Doubt they made the account today to hide their identity. The other is a higher lvl than you. Your post about someone hiding their identity was null and void, because all you did was look at post counts.

As for that last little tidbit, I hope DangerousSharida (I think I spelt her name wrong) doesn't take offense to it. Seeing as her and her husband met on Fiesta and are having their first child.

Well one of the low post counters' account is over a year old. Doubt they made the account today to hide their identity. The other is a higher lvl than you. Your post about someone hiding their identity was null and void, because all you did was look at post counts.

As for that last little tidbit, I hope DangerousSharida (I think I spelt her name wrong) doesn't take offense to it. Seeing as her and her husband met on Fiesta and are having their first child.

today....about half an hour before servers came down...some guy was plvling some cleric where i was grinding. Not only did he steal all the mobs but KSed anything i was fighting. It was annoying ._.

I created my fighter before the tower was even out, and i've only had one plvl (at lv69, like 30%). The rest was alone.

I know what you mean. Ive soloed most of the game except for times i was in parties with friends on the same quest(s). I too had one plvl but it was just a quick 10% since i was out of quests and grinding wasnt much of an option...since i got 1% in 25 minutes. Mages are slow to grind lol but yeah asking for entire levels is just lazy. I was once invited to a party where i helped quest monsters only to find out later they lied and just wanted me to kill for their experience. I was pissed and dropped the party. Now that they like to play tricks i dont even know if i want to help people with quests anymore.

i do power level sometimes, and i like power leveling my low level alts also...

when i power level, i do it for 1 hour max per session, and i don't like anyone to complain or KS during that time.

Why dont you do what i do? Everytime some nub asks i bring them to abyss and kill them, and then i block them XD. But yeah... Seems more than half of Fiesta is full of noobs who think 10s will get them from 40-50, not to mention The Tower made them worse... And Castle makeing it even worse o:, No one knows how to use their classes anymore, except the ones who usually have higher leveled characters, or are just cool, either way... I say we slaughter them plvlees :x
