Healing Archer ~ Hacker? ~ GM View please

So i was in the abyss the other day and started to PvP him. Well out no where... invincible was casted.. so i immediately went to find the cleric... but could not find one. No this archer was casting the skills himself, heal, recover, party buffs, and invincible was casted. I didnt believe him untill he partied me and we were the only 2 people in the party.. keep in mind that im an archer as well. So i talked to him and he said that he can cast all the 30- cleric skills and he even has the "High Cleric" title... i could not get the screen pick of the title but i did get him saying he had it.. i hope the pics i got are good enough.. it shows us as the only 2 people in party yet still have party buffs.

yeah.. i've seen fighter's with mage skills as well, but this was probably 9-10 months ago.

Lol yeah i have seen it.. but a LONG time ago.. and it was a bug because alot of people were able to do it. I think this guy hacks... he was doing 1k dmg to a fighter that was all +9'ed out... and i really dont care if your pure str... +9 xbow max str gear with charms.. you will NOT do 1k dmg on norm hit to a +9'ed pure end fighter with a t3 def with def charms... there just no way.

If it's a bug and he knows about it, he is probably abusing it. Bugs should be reported o.o

Well it must be a hack of course if you say he dealt so much damage and that he can use cleric's skills.
I suggest you simply report him ASAP.

Since he has bypassed X-Trap he is in big trouble either way report it. It wont take him long to be banned if you have already reported it. But unfortunately if he did bypass X-Trap since Outspark dont IP ban anymore he will only come back and hack again.

They should IP ban again... I have raised this question in connection of art thieves at the MVP contests. Caught over 6-8 art thieves THIS year only -_- Maybe artworks aren't all that important at a gaming forum, however many people don't know that art theft is a serious crime. One of the thieves just stole 2 times again after we and a GM warned him. They never stop and unless they get IP banned, they will return and involve lots of innocent artists...

Anyone feels like starting a 'IP ban for serious crimes'-petition?

Taking advantage of a bug in-game is a ban-able offense. Report him asap.

If he did bypass X-Trap which is most likely reporting him for this is really pointless Outspark dont IP ban so all this ban will do is just make him start over his hacking again from a Lv 1 character. Outspark were never good at handling ingame issues from day 1 so this is really no surprise though.

Its good to know that this guy would only receive an account ban followed by him making another account and repeating what he has already done to get him banned in the first place.

Outspark really need to start enforcing Mac and Hard Drive bans or the ingame problems can only escalate.

I would say you should send a ticket, however since this is a serious case I think it's faster and better if a staff member sees this thread and contacts you through PMs. Sending a ticket and confirming it and whatnot could take too long and this needs a quick solution. Have the evidence (without censor) and additional informations ready in case a staff member spots the thread (but show/share those only with them through private messages).

If you wish to report this issue, I would suggest you to click on the link in my siggy which is called Contact a CSR. It will send you to a page where you have to log in, if you aren't logged in already. Once logged in, you should see a little green square I think written Contact a CSR in it. Fill out the whole info and provide screenshots of this matter. After that, simply send it and wait 3 to 5 buiseness days for a reply.

I had the weirdest glitch a about, 7 months ago, I was like level 24, and I had the power of a cleric and mage when I has a fighter I used it for maybe 10 minutes but then reported it. It was fun while it lasted.

IP bans don't work, all you have to do is change your IP address.

Clerics with a wall glitch can't give pt buffs to someone that isn't in their pt.

Reporting it without an actual video wont do any good. I've tried this twice already and been shot down because I didn't have "adequate" enough proof. Screenshots weren't enough proof apparently [: I dont even know why Neko would say it was going to be investigated if CSR Hal has already said twice w/o a video of the hacking incident nothing can be done lol. Guess its different in this situation because the matter was made public on forums where everyone can see it huh? xD

If that's true what CSR Hal said, it's kind of a bummer that the players have to gather the evidence to prove that someone is hacking, instead of the people that should be patrolling the game making sure that everyone is following the rules and not hacking. But I'm sure they have some way of detecting whether someone is bypassing xtrap.

Problem is this is client sided so they cant detect weither this is happening or it would make banning hackers so much easier.

I have known a friend that got glitched, or so I'd like to believe it was a glitch, and could use both cleric skills on his fighter, and fighter skills on his cleric. It was hilarious watching him dev a bunch of people in bz on his cleric, it'd annoy everyone.

yeah i know a friend who quit, but her cleric could poison ^^ its a rare glitch/bug and usually your character is like perm. glitched with it o.o but dangerous of course, if your reported you can prolly get banned for not speaking up about it, pretty cool tho.. a archer with cleric abilities o.o so awesome

It's a bug, not a hack. Judging by his grammar he doesn't seem experienced enough to make (could be found but, there would be more reports of this) a UCE or a bypasser alone. I'm going to assume this was after the server check so, he probably has a cleric on his account and the skill page of the cleric got transferred to his archer during the server check somehow or the past one.

IP-Banning is useless when it comes to hackers because most of them either have a dynamic IP or HotSpot Shield and the second way would be MAC address banning but, there's some old school programs laying around that get by that. It may stop an amateur but, it won't stop a hacker.

Client sided doesn't affect anyone as it can only be viewed only on your screen, so, there's really no need to ban.

They don't have an extreme anti-hacking system here because X-Trap is really really hard to bypass so, there's hardly any hackers per year, it would take weeks to get a bypass and they update it every week so, it's pretty much useless to even try.

I just think its kinda funny that he took the time to cross out every other name on the picture except the one in the messages that says he joined the party ^_^

Anyway yeah if you had some kind of glitch like this you'd think it was cool but there is a difference between thinking its cool and then reporting it or abusing it. I'm sure they'll figure it out and fix it as soon as they can.

Just go ahead and report. I heard about a mage that could heal, and learned about two other dual classes in this thread alone. It's kind of sad they're still playing with no punishment for not speaking up about this. It's obviously a bug and puts them at a major advantage over everyone else =/

lolz and I were refering to a different game in which there IS a dual class system and mages (me) CAN heal ;)
