Well, it's not really a big secret anymore, Silky is gone. But this isn't about him; it's about the future of Fiesta.

I am pretty much only making a thread for this because it is the only way to mass communicate on the forums.

I'm curious how things are gonna play out now that Silky is gone. From what I gathered in his posts he was like the "leader" of the Fiesta team. He also seemed to be the one doing all of the things that made our verion of Fiesta different than all the others. Now, I could be completely wrong and that's untrue, but that's the way it seemed to me.

There was talk of some unknown and entirely unique feature from Silky before leaving. I will not ask what this secret is (wouldn't wanna spoil the fun ;D ), but I just wanna know; is it something that is still going to be done? Was it even real, or just a not-so-elaborate hoax set up by Silky?



This next part is a little more of a suggestion. But I think that the Fiesta leadership needs to keep in touch with us a bit more on updates. Now, I am not even sure if they can do that, since the game is not "theirs" OnsOnSoft may not let them be so open with updates.

However I feel it would be better for the community if we were told a bit more and kept in the loop a bit better. If you plan on releasing something; let us know, give us little teasers, and if it's delayed, tell us, and try to say why. and if something is delayed, let us know what you're doing to fix it, and how soon it should be back on track.

Also, if little things like bug fixes are being done, tell us. That way we don't need to go searching to find out if X bug was fixed on Y day.

Umm, I had more of a train of thought, but my sister distracted me and I forgot what I was saying. So the rest of this thread is pretty much for the GMs to answer the questions I asked, to comment on the rest of it, and for anyone else to comment on how they feel about this.

Bakt, PLEASE tell me you read the whole thing. It's not about Silky. And I know the other GMs worked. I stated that I only knew of Silky doing the difference making things (the dev stuff). I know that now Streaga, Neko, Raiza and probably other GMs are working on Fiesta. But I don't know if they do the same stuff as he did. And I'm really just asking for more communication.

OSKI is our updates. We do maintenance every Tuesday and Straega does OSKI every Tuesday. What else are you talking about?

We can't tell you if we're releasing something. One, we're under contract. Two, we already tell you when it's delayed- usually it's because of development issues. We tell Onson to fix it. No, it went that way after he 'took over'. But I think maybe it was because of the community, and our unpreparedness to the fact that he did things differently than we were used to. And coming off the heels of what a good portion of the game community thought as a great man and GM, that probably didn't help Silky's case.

Well, what an interesting thread.. though most have posted about the OP's opinion and so on, he does bring up interesting points; however, they have been answered in some way or other

We have seen, as a community, leaders come and go: this is and will be the same. Sad to some and not so to others, his departure will still be felt.

But, as with others departure, we will move on and make it. Questions, feelings, opinions, etc. will remain while we all go thourghout the transition stage.

GM SKiing is still here and as well as all the other GM's on the team.

But still to the OP, interesting points and questions. I, like you, am ofc curious to see how this will play out but, have faith that it will be just fine

I have one thing to say about GM Silky if I may: I intereviewed him for the OSC LiveShow and though he may have left, that is definitely one memory I will always have with me: it was fun to interview him and I will miss him. Thank you Silky for memories <3

We understand that the community wants to know about more things more often, but take the Estate System for example. Due to bugs and errors, it has been pushed back for some time (but coming out sooooon!) The problem with keeping people in the loop is that the loop is never always 100% accurate There are rare times when even the GMs don't know 100% what is going on. If something falls through, we then have to tell you and dash your hopes and dreams. If we dash enough dreams, people become...restless.

Well you got some players who will believe it (few) and alot who wont (the majority).
Its just like when Outspark revealed to players that OnsOn doesnt tell them 100% whats in the patches. That some of it is even a shock and new to them as well. What did players say? "LIEZ QUIT SNEAKING IN THINGS". Now of course, to me, Im a logical person. I can see a GM react to some bug added from a patch due to something that doesnt even make sense to be added/changed and see that they might not always be told 100% of whats put in. And its logical, theres language barriers too, and OnsOn doesnt HAVE to tell Outspark whats all in the patches, so..

But people dont listen.
I dont know why people were fussing about this House System being delayed, again, its been said tons of times, this system has been talked about and waited for for almost 2 years now. Someone went to another version, saw it, leaked it, lied it was coming soon, and ever since then Outsparks been on pressure to release it (even if the pressure wanes). Now they coulda actually gotten the system approved months ago, and then had it developed for our version shortly after, but then when they got it, tested it, found a ton of bugs.
Then they have to write up the bugs, send it to Onson, wait for the bugs to be confirmed, fixed, and a new patch made. Then apply the patch, and reevaluate it to see if the bugs reoccured, see if more bugs resulted, etc, etc.

Its easy to see how something can be delayed when you stop and think about the steps involved logically.

So I can totally see the community being ignorant still when even told about things. They already do that now. Whats that saying "A person is smart, people are dumb"? One person alone can stop and look at something and say "Oh makes sense" but when youre in a fiesta community being pressured, so many people see the other responses and mold themselves to it, and dont stop to think.

Outspark actually tells us more in the posts they make on the forums and news and events than people bother to take notice. It just takes an open mind and knowledge to look for it.. lol (Like ppl in another thread are shocked I said a GM told us the coat of arms should be release in the sc shop in the future..not really near future, just future period. It was said.. did people listen? lol no).
