DEX or STR facts please ^^

i was curious about dex or str ive seen amny threads on this and have seen replys like this "aim scroll fixes that go str" "str is awsome!!!!"

what i want are people who use str or dex builds to give me there opinions ^^ <3

tell me what you like and disslike about the 2 different 1's ;)

Well my archer is full dex,

i love it because im a kiter and it helps while i kite, It is a great build because monsters miss me and i hit a lot.

I dislike going full dex because i dont hit extremely hard and im kinda weak.

but other than that i love full dex :D hope that helped

i kinda like going 25spr rest dex you crit and hit more often as well as having higher evasion ^^

kinda bleh with lower hits but personaly im thinking that both builds balance out in some kind of way ^^

2 of my archers have different build. 25SPR rest STR (mavricgabriel) and 50DEX rest STR(BUHAWI). I never find any problem with the both of them in terms of kiting solo, damage and mob control. But it has a story behind it.

mavricgabriel is kinda my old school archer. Back then, archers dont have the running AoEs and DEX dont give that much effect unlike the present. So More or less, archer then were loners and tend to depend on damage and its natural evasion. Then why the hell didnt i choose a mage, you say? Because i want to be versatile on not being dependant on using SP much and being squishy all the time:D

BUHAWI on the other hand was made recently when DEX is proven to be working. I had the idea of making him a PvP annoyance:D although its tough to make him one, lol.

Both of them has NOT that high END base gears but does the job anyway. No problem on both solo and party. Both fast levelers although mavric is currently retired. BUHAWI on the otherhand is gonna be a my KKP farmer after it levels to 70:D

PvP wise, they are just mere annoyance to everyone who cant catch up but not that of a real threat coz i dont use SC stuff. I only buy my enhanced gears from players:D

me and hubby are lvl 99 im 25spr rest str, hes full dex i have end>dex gear he has dex>end gear, both of us have +10 bk's

he has less hp then me as i have higher end on gear yet he can still handle more mobs due to his higher evasion

when kiting together i get through twice as many hp stones and pots as him, partly because i have more agro than him but even if we were to solo the same spot i would still get through more as his eva makes a huge difference

boss mobs or mobs with high hp even if he gets agro first i will pull it off him in 3/5 hits usually

even tho he can handle a larger group of mobs i kill alot quicker, the str/dex experiment thread showed that str and dex archers both made about the same exp per hour in abyss

i love my str build, he loves his dex build, we compliment each other playing together ........ if i had to solo all the time i would prob pick the 25spr/50dex rest str build i think, simply because i c how much longer he can grind than me even if he kills slower he still has to restone less per hour than i do, and he definately gets through less hp pots than i do

tho if sc wasnt an issue i would stick with 25spr/ rest str

I've played 3 builds on my archer.

The first being 25 spr rest str. I do not like this build because it left my Eva up to gears and natural leveling. I had this build from 1 to 55

The second being 25 spr rest dex. I had this build from 55 to about 65. This. Build is good beause of high Eva/aim and decent crits. The only down side is a +9 is almost definatley a must. High Eva but low dmg.

My third and hopefully final build is 50 dex rest str. This build I prefer because after 50 the Eva percentages drop drastically. So with this build you get decent Eva and aim, and the benefits of some extra dmg.

Can you kill 25 mobs at the same time before they catch you? Because that is kind of the point of kiting....

Anyway, my archer is 25SPR/50DEX/Rest STR (Currently 25SPR/45DEX/15STR). I enjoy it greatly. I level quickly, and currently mobs miss right about 66% of the time. At lvl 70 I can kite the whole magmaton area solo without pots, just need a t3 speed.

The only dislike is my current lack of damage, but that will change soon.

pffft hybrid build is better i do 60dex(yes not 50 :O)rest str best of both
