I think this is a often reported problem... the entire PC is shutting down, because Fiesta.bin needs the full CPU Power.

My Question is why the programers just set the CPU usage to 90% or 80%, i think most of all, when not all, computers donīt need the full CPU to run Fiesta...

Well I think that the development of Fiesta was done in japan and Outspark is just licensing the rights to translate and promote the game to the english speaking audience. So they may have no control over certain fundamental aspects, but from my experience fiesta doesn't use 100% cpu. In fact most programs from my understanding are given priority by the OS and cpu is scaled depending on system load.

In windows you can set the priority of a given task by using the task manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del) and right clicking the program or task and assigning it a different priority. High means it will hog your cpu over other tasks, low meaning it will give up cpu to other programs. It has been my experience that 100% cpu usage is 'not' normal behavior in any program.

Most likely if you posted your system specs it would help determine the problem, but if you have a computer that is lower then the system specs, have a crummy graphics card or very little ram with a lot of background programs running (anti-virus, firewall, spyware or adware you are unaware of) then these can all be causes. Another factor could be incompatible drivers or hardware that is either not very compatible or needs new drivers (update everything).

Something you can do to test it is to run your computer in a 'clean' boot. This requires opening msconfig (Windows key+r opens your run command prompt, then type "msconfig" without quotes, then press enter). Now click the radio dial for "selective startup", and uncheck everything except system services. Now go to your "services" tab and at the bottom check the box that says "hide all microsoft services" then click 'disable all'. This will disable all non-essential services and allow you to reboot your computer with nothing running in the background. Click apply and restart your comp. (warning: this 'will' disable your firewall and antivirus so don't do anything but run the game in this mode for testing purposes. Now try running the game and if you still crash your comp your problem is likely one of a few things, you need to update your hardware drivers (video card most likely or maybe even hard drive drivers) you need to re-download the game software (uninstall the game then reinstall. usualy as a last resort) or your hardware simply is not compatible (you need more memory or worst case scenario you need a faster cpu).

This will not really help you solve your problem so much as begin your path down the road to finding out what the problem is and fixing it. I will subscribe this thread and try to help if I can so post here with any updates.

I donīt have the problem... the problem is the notebook of a friend... we tried all:
- Shut off all Processes that not needed
- Removed all dust from ventilation (through this the game is running 5 more minutes...)
- Put something under the notebook that the ventilation is better working
- Installing the newest driver

The problem definitly overheating..., anyway, since i posted this i was talking with my friend about this over IM and he will just claim a replacement, because it is not only problem his notebook has...

The funny thing is, that he nearly has the same specification as my notebook, there are three differences:
- He has 500 MB RAM, i 1 GB
- His CPU is a little bit weaker than mine (donīt know the exact difference, but something like 0.1 GHz differenz)
- Last thing is the producer, i have noname and he has brand

I think his notebook is has just a irreparable problem, because he sent his laptop many times, because of several problems.

Sounds like hes got the same symptom a lot of computer owners have...they bought a name brand comp:p I'm not saying owning a Dell or a Compaq or an IBM is bad... It's just that when you get one from the company you get 'their' version of windows. Most people don't know but most manufacturers of computers (dell, compaq etc.) have a deal with microsoft where they test and help develop the newest windows Operating System in exchange for the ability to install cheap OEM versions of it on their computers. Because of this they are often getting versions of windows that are 'not' the same as the version that ships to stores but is in fact a developers version. Because of this the company adds its own little tricks and fixes to make it run better.

Ever notice how all those comps come with some kind of windows product slathered with logos of their company and the comp comes loaded with products to download fixes and stuff from their site instead of from the actual developers of the hardware in your computer? They add code to various things in windows to make their developers version work better, they load it up with programs you have no need for and are sub par at best, and then they ship it to you for really cheap because they assume you want as much as you can get for your money...meaning a cheap computer loaded with programs that you won't have to buy.

Your friend is finding out the hard way that what he really paid for was the 'junk' that these companies add to the computer to sell it to people, (music players, movie editing software, office programs and all that stuff) and that his actual computer is made of sub par components or that his OS has been crippled by some ingenious 'fix' the companies developers cooked up without checking the code very well. You did the best thing you could have ever done by 'not' buying a name brand comp.

My advice is to tell him to keep sending it in to be fixed until his warranty runs up and then buy himself a lappy with no OS..then he can buy his very own copy of windows to have and to hold...to install and reformat forever and ever until hardware failure do they part..or at least until he decides to buy another OS upgrade:p This way he only has to use the programs that are right for him, and hes guaranteed to have a 'clean' install. While hes at it he could even partition the drive so that if he ever needs to reformat he can ship all his data onto the partition that doesnt hold windows and reformat just the partition with windows on it...it's like having a new computer without all the hassle of having to 'pay' for one:p
