Bet On When Ob Will Come

Ok folks, you know the drill: we are locked out until OB arrives. When, we do not know for certain. What we DO know is that it will be "before Christmas" and "sooner than we think"... so, with that in mind, I am offering the following fun challenge: place your bet on when you think OB will occur.

The rules are simple:

1: All bets are for honor only. No monies or items will be awarded unless a GM sees this and decides to get into the fun.

2: You can bet once only, and can not edit your bet afterward. You can bet on the same day as others.

3: This is a bet of honor - seeing as SoS will most probably open with multiple servers, a bet of even in-game money would be difficult to reward.

4: All dates are in accordance to server time, which is PST (Pacific Standard) at this moment, from 12:00 am - 12:00 am.

5: Above all, have fun, be respectful and be honorable.

Hmmm... the "official" announcement says "...next month", so that rules out November entries (sorry to whomever posted Nov. 26...) And while December 1st is indeed "next month", and falls on a saturday, I suspect even that will be too early (I could be wrong, though...)

That said, I'll put my money on December 11th, for no particular reason other than that's my birthday, and having it open then would make a nice present :)

(while tuesday is an odd day for something like this, it's also exactly two weeks before christmas. Most people really start gearing up their holiday "spending" activities at that point, so anything that keeps little buggers entertained while mommy goes shopping will be viewed as a good thing :) )

I see you missed the GM post stating that OB will be starting before we expected so you can not rule out November bets. I say November 28.

I didn't check all the posts for what days people picked, but I *do* see that tomorrow you can begin downloading the client (with a non-specific side note that you won't be able to play right away -- there are a few more things to "fix" on the server side it seems)

So, that makes it the 7th as the earliest [pearl harbor day, for those that keep track of such things -- also, while not my birthday, it IS my father's birthday] probably a "low" chance over the weekend (who would want to work?) and a greater chance monday (I know somebody did pick the 10th...) Odds are it won't be the 11th after all, but still, for as early as I posted the prediction, "freakishly close" :)
