Hey,
I'm new to this game (I am transitioning from BOTS -a good game, I am just tired of losing by being knocked over the edge of blocks magically suspended over unexplained pools of magma or rivers of water that kill you upon contact) and it's pretty cool so far; most of the players seem nice and helpful to newbies, I just don't like botheringplayers with incessant questions in the game, so I will ask my questions here:
1) I keep seeing people with titles (ie, apprentice, clever fighter, hero, friendly, popular, dj, etc), what are they for and ho do you get them?
2) How do you type so that it can be read by everyone in the textbox in the corner, not just hanging above your head? (I ithink this is called shouting, but I am not certain)
3) I read that different skills are available at different levels. Are all the skills available from the same merchant, or do you have to go to different towns to buy them?
4) Can you get killed in a battlefield and sent back to a town other than Rumen?
5) I managed (by sheer luck) to enchant a weapon and have a question about the way that it is done (roulette). Will the weapon only enchant when the box it lands on forms a line across the weapon to the slot you have placed the special item (I forget the item's name...started with an "L"), or will it also enchant if the box lands on the special item? (hopefully I am understood by one person, I know I phrased this weird).
6) I went to the skill shop and saw skills like mining, refining and processing (or things to that extent) what are they used for?

Any help answering these is appreciated. In the meantime, I guess I will see you around in Fiesta -I will try out the different character types and see which one suits me best (probably a cleric, just so I can resurrect people who bite off more than they can chew).

Hello and welcome to Isya!

Let's see if I can help you out some.

1.)There are hundred's of titles. This list might help you:
http://www.fiestafan.com/wiki/Title_Guide

2.)To use shout you must be above 6th level. the command is /s or click the shout tab.
Here is a priceless tip I can give you that will save you many death's!
Open the options window ( the "esc" key) and click "game settings". On the far right at the bottom there will be "Command Prompt". Uncheck this, then your chat window will auto close after each message.

3.)Skills are bought at skillmaster Ruby in Roumen until about 15th level. Then you will have to see your class trainer in Elderine to get the higher level skills.

4.) Yes. Where you die at determines what town you respawn in. Getting killed in Sea of Greed sends you to Elderine for example.

5.) From my experience it will only enhance if landing diagonally from the stone.
You can press "f10" in game and read a tutorial about it.

6.) Skills are hard to explain. there are different kinds.Mining allows you to do just that, mine. You will need to buy a pickaxe.
"Ride Mover" allows you to ride a mount. The wooden stick horse's need "Floatation Stones" to recharge their meters. ( neither of these take up a production skill slot.more on this below.
Production skills: Press "k' in game to open your skills window. find your "production skills". There will be 2 empty slots at the top. You drag and drop the skills you want into these open slots. Choose carefully, once you pick them they are yours forever!
Copied from a previous post of mine:

Step 1: Press "k" and pick your 2 production skills ( choose wisely, you can't change them later)

Step 2: Drag and drop your chosen skills icons to your hotbar.

Step 3: Right click the icon on the hotbar to open that skills window.

Step 4: Look at the recipes listed on the left side of that window. The recipes you can learn will be in yellow text. They will have a skill requirement of [0].

Step 5: Go to Ruby and look at the "Alchemy Tab" ( use the arrows to navigate through the various pages.) Buy the recipes you can learn.

Step 6: Right click those recipes to learn them ( close the shop window first or you will just sell them back for a loss)

Step 7: Reopen the skill window from the hotbar. The recipes you learned will now be in Blue text. If you have ALL of the required materials then you can highlight that recipe and click "Produce" to make that item.

*Recipes listed in Red text are recipes you do NOT have enough production skill to learn yet. At the top left of production window there will be a set of numbers. It will start at 0/1000. As you make items the number on the left will increase. When it reaches the skill level of the number next to the Red text recipes then they will turn yellow. Meaning you can then buy those recipes and learn them.*

I hope that answered some of your questions sufficiently :)
