Hi all,
So I created an archer simply to duo with my husbands fighter. They're both level 14 atm and...I haven't alloted any of my free stat points or my empowerment points. I've done some looking over of the guides and a lot of them focus on kiting, which I've done some of but is not my focus because then I am dragging the mobs away from the fighter. How would you guys suggest I build my character? Where should I put my mobs when I will always be duoing with a fighter?
Thanks

You would probably still want to invest points in Nature's Mist (lvl 51 kiteable aoe that poisons), and power + aimed shots.Basically grab a mob, have the hubby mock / demo then pick off what he's attacking with your single target skills. When you hit 51 you can spam Natures Mist after he uses deva and demo / mocks. I suppose you could try kitting with the hubby spamming mock / demo / kick but i'm not sure how effective that would be :s

If you're just gonna be stationary, you might as well make a mage >.>
But if you want to be an archer stationary AoE'er, then I suppose you should empower Multi-Shot cooldown(cuts it down to ~3 secs) and Nature's Mist/Piercing Shot Cooldown.

I would rather let you level till 51 to make good use of your 2nd AOE skill (nature's mist), and i DO NOT recommend to empower multi-shot either because it wont be that much of a use in the higher levels. Since leveling up to 51 is easy now a days:rolleyes:
Depending if your a heavy SC user and you party a lot with your husband, I suggest pure STR. That way, when your husband has aggro and mock, cast all your AOE skills. Even if you get aggro, you can simply run away or cast nature's protection till your husband cast mock or devastate again.
Gears is also vital to your survivability, so the more +9 you have the better (END/DEX base)
Also, soloing as a pure STR is not that bad. Just strap up a speed scroll and your good to go. (One good example is GigiBunny of Epith:cool:)
Just my 2 cents:D

Thanks for the advice :) And TwinBlade, I already have a mage :P and a cleric. But once I convinced my hubby to play...and he chose fighter I decided to do an archer. So I could experience another class. And so far I think archer is the most complicated. Not as squishy as my mage, not as invincible as my cleric but with way more options as to play style. Anyways, thanks guys.
