I was wondering because im lvl 17 and i wanted to make my account my main for ever but i have not done a single quest... are they important? have i messed up my entire account? please. Thanks

Its not bad, but just start doing them. They give you money, items, and exp points. Then they also give you a purpose aside from helping other people. :D Some of the quests are extremely fun, while others suck and are tedious gathering jobs.

You just used up alot of cash you didn't need to. The early quests give you a full set of equipment (except, I think, the L14 boots). Also, your first weapon mastery, a nice batch of scrolls (vitality FTW!), and some cash comes from it as well.
Most of that, though, isn't enough to restart from, so just start with the quests available now.
