Production skills don't "work" better with any specific class.

There are productions skills that work together; however class doesn't effect the long-run output.

I suggest starting off with Decomposition and Scroll Production or Decomposition and Potion Making.

Decomposition comes in hand later on in the game when you have a ton of higher tier items that you can't use for producing anything.

Just keep working on them and you'll be fine.

Also, keep in mind, "In order to make money in Fiesta, one must stop leveling."

The point is that you can take items of some quality and either make more lower quality items [decomp] or fewer higher quality items [comp]. Generally, your production skills will lag behind your levels, and as such, you'll start getting items that are higher quality than what you can make. Decomping allows you to use those items for your production skills.

Admittedly, comping is a lot less useful. XD

Yeah... I never understood composition. The only situation where it would be useful is if you purchase a ton of materials from the NPC's and make the higher level items... You'd have to be loaded to do this though.
Either way, higher level = higher tier drops. This stated, decomposition helps throughout the entire game.

Comp has it's uses.

1. When you need higher tier quest items than are dropping for you then you can comp up what you do get.
2. When you are overloaded with mats you will eventually need just comp them as high as you feel like to save space. You do lose some of the mats, but you gain space until they are needed.
3. And this is the big one, which I shouldn't say cause people I've talked to don't normally think of it, often you can buy lower tier mats than the one you want for production, faster, and cheaper than the one you need and comp what you need for production.

Put comp/decomp on the same character.

Don't make potions on your cleric. It is a useless skill on a cleric. You will seriously not use potions unless you are solo boss farming. And if you solo your quests you will literally have stacks and stacks of pots from picking up your drops. Also potions is the least money making skill in my opinion. Yes least, I've made more off both comp and decomp. Scrolls are usefull, they sell well, and at a good profit. Stones are decent money from the high drop rate of dusts, but a lot of people make them. Dusts are also the best comp/decomp food in my opinion. I used dusts pretty much exclusively when I leveled mine to T5.

Scrolls and stones. But you will need to level a comp/decomp production character along with the production of your other skills.

And Fastest is a relative term. You will have to spend hours and hours making things, and more hours sitting in a vendor. I suggest getting at least one iron case the next time they go on sale. You can load all 4 pages, hit produce, and walk away for over an hour depending on what you are making.

If you go cleric, make friends with a good fighter, and duo farm the bosses for drops, this is a fast way to make some cash as well.

This should be moved to the Production Discussion section.
