Registering a weapon title gives "an unknown error has occured"

i am doing the level 12 weapon title quest and it wont let me do it... keeps failing and saying an error has occurred... suggestions?

Does the weapon you're trying to put the license on already have 3 licenses on it? (have to ask for sanity reasons)

Please trade with the NPC, and right click on the license - tell me if it shows a box that asks you to confirm if you want to sell it or not. If it doesn't, and it says 'failed' or similar in the lower right corner you may need to reconnect. I've run across this issue a few times and re-starting the client fixes it.

Make sure you unequip it before moving the weapon to the title register window. If you take it from from your equipped slot directly to the window it will not work.

*edit* You can also get an error if you try to do it while on a mount.

Good point, forgot about those - I assumed that the unequip would be an obvious move.

I tried to register an Orc lic to my lvl 40 staff yesterday. After three tries of getting an unknown error it finally worked.

But I've been fighting Orcs for several hours now without the % on the lic going up.

Is this a known problem? I've had other people check the lic on the wep and they says it's the right one.
