View Full Version : Cash Shop Item Suggestion Thread

Since theres no designated area for suggestions based around the cash shop, i figured here would be the next best place to post this. Basically, i figured it would be nice to have a thread where everyone can suggest and discuss what items (new and old) you would like to see made a part of the Cash Shop in the future. Try to remember that the concept is more important than the numbers,as numbers can be changed easily for better game balance or fairness or w.e OS thinks is best. Since cost and durations are up to them, probably no point in trying to come up with one. Anyway, heres a bunch to get everyone started :)
================================================== =================
Ahnk of Protection
=> Prevents buff loss upon death
- time based
Fairy Powder
=> Reduces monster aggro on you to 0 and puts them in a passive state
- charge based
- passive state is their state as if they just spawned, they wont attack unless you hit them or it wears off
Orb of cleansing
=> Removes all debuffs on use
- Time based
- Cooldown of X minutes when used (2-5?)
- All debuffs are removed of all grades, including stuns
Philosophers Stone
=> Increases the effect of health and mana potions by XX% and reduces the cooldown of stones by XX%
- time based
Rune of Intensity
=> Increases the effect of all scroll and potion buffs by XX%
- time based
- Does not affect certain items such as charms
Rune of Empowerment
=> Grants a temporary 10 skill empowerment points
- time based
- Removed automatically when the item expires
Medallion of Courage
=> Increases damage and defence by XX% when health is below half
- time based
- effect only occurs and is active while your below half hp
Tome of Alchemy
=> Doubles the points gained when using production skills
- time based
- everytime you make an item through production, the points gained are double the normal value
Shard of Divinity
=> Increases the effect of your healing spells by XX%
- time based
- Mainly for clerics, they need more love
Stat Boost Potions
Mind Potion (intelligence boosted by XX (30?) when used)
Strength Potion (strength boosted by XX (30?) when used)
Soul Potion (Spirit boosted by XX (30?) when used)
Fortitude Potion (endurance boosted by XX (30?) when used)
Nimbleness Potion (dexterity boosted XX (30?) when used)
- charge based
- Each gives a large boost to their designated stat that should be a decent amount greater than the mighty potion
Liquid Aether
=> Doubles the duration of all potion and scroll buffs
- charge based
- does not affect other cash shop items
Energy Potion
=> Halves the mana cost of all spells
- charge based
Have fun! :)

Orb of cleansing would unbalance pvp i think... Fear/deva would not only be pointless, but archer's poisons would be totally useless.

Ahnk of Protection
=> Prevents buff loss upon death

Would be useful, but buffs only last an hour anyway; sure it would save you money, but I don't think buying this would be worth it, personally.
Fairy Powder
=> Reduces monster aggro on you to 0 and puts them in a passive state
- charge based
- passive state is their state as if they just spawned, they wont attack unless you hit them or it wears off
This is so cheating xD But it would actually prevent people from training...but I don't know, I think it would take the whole thrill out of the game.
Orb of cleansing
=> Removes all debuffs on use
- Time based
- Cooldown of X minutes when used (2-5?)
- All debuffs are removed of all grades, including stuns
This will be very unfair to alot of people, and I think it'll make the game too easy. We already have Mages and Clerics on top of pots and scrolls you can use to remove debuffs.
Philosophers Stone
=> Increases the effect of health and mana potions by XX% and reduces the cooldown of stones by XX%
- time based
Again, too unfair in PvP I think x.x
Rune of Intensity
=> Increases the effect of all scroll and potion buffs by XX%
- time based
- Does not affect certain items such as charms
Ditto
Rune of Empowerment
=> Grants a temporary 10 skill empowerment points
- time based
- Removed automatically when the item expires
Isn't this basically what pets do? Except I guess on here you can choose what to change :S I think we have enough charms/cookies or w/e that do the same thing already.
Medallion of Courage
=> Increases damage and defence by XX% when health is below half
- time based
- effect only occurs and is active while your below half hp
This one's kind of scary xD
Tome of Alchemy
=> Doubles the points gained when using production skills
- time based
- everytime you make an item through production, the points gained are double the normal value
I guess this will save time for alot of people, but it'll make it too easy, I think. It kind of takes away things you can do in this game when you don't wanna level..
Shard of Divinity
=> Increases the effect of your healing spells by XX%
- time based
- Mainly for clerics, they need more love
I think the heals are fine the way they are.
Yeah, the mighty potion sucks, so something like this or a revision of the mighty potion would be good.
Liquid Aether
=> Doubles the duration of all potion and scroll buffs
- charge based
- does not affect other cash shop items
I guess you use this in combinaion with the Ahnk of Protection?
Energy Potion
=> Halves the mana cost of all spells
- charge based
Have fun! :)
In short, some of these sounds cool, but I think they're unnecessary =o
As ohsosushi has pointed out, it will further increase the gap between SC users and non-SC users; and we already have enough people complaining about that.

i like the suggestions, but yeah some would really even futher unbalance the game to the SC crowd... still it's a good thread nonetheless!
the 'Tome of Alchemy' suggestion, there is actually already a non-released SC item called an 'Alchemy Expertise Scroll'.. u can check it out here.. http://store.outspark.com/fiesta/item/10765

the game's easy enough as it is with all the cash shop items.
and people would just abuse this junk, think about it:
rune of intensity = more powerful scrolls + charms + stat boost potions (30 extra stat points to one skill)

Some interesting ideas, and I think you posted them already somewhere else but..
Like the other two said, it would make the game really unfair for non-sc users and pretty much destroy all the other parts not already unbalanced by sc.... basically allowing you to cheat

More than half of these would either take the 'thrill' out of the game, make it unbalanced, or make it wayyy to easy....

I was thinking of creating a thread like this before xD
Some of my idea's;
Rez potion
Upon death a pop-up will appear asking you if you want to revive, a potion will be consumed.
Party extender
If the party master has this boost he's able to have an extra person in the party.
Warp point
Point a flag in any map and you can warp to it anytime (handy when your spouse isn't online or if you're not married)
I had more idea's, I'll remember them later.

Orb of cleansing would unbalance pvp i think... Fear/deva would not only be pointless, but archer's poisons would be totally useless.
stuns and poisons and other skills like that generally have a cooldown under 60 seconds, and the cooldown for the orb should be around 3-5 mins. even assuming 1v1, most stuns and poisons can be applied or used multiple times within one orb cooldown. Also, assuming its more than a 1v1, one debuff remove isnt going to do much. Also......pvp was never balanced to begin with XD
the game's easy enough as it is with all the cash shop items.
and people would just abuse this junk, think about it:
rune of intensity = more powerful scrolls + charms + stat boost potions (30 extra stat points to one skill)
your assuming every time in the list will be added, and the numbers not tweaked? The game is already completely easy with full SC anyway. The only difficult part is levelling because it takes a long time, and that wont change even if you added everything in here. PvP would be the exact same because SC pvpers would all buy all the same things. Will the gap be widened between SC and non SC users in pvp? yep, but they already dont stand a chance anyway, that still wont change.
More than half of these would either take the 'thrill' out of the game, make it unbalanced, or make it wayyy to easy....
the game is already way too easy with enough money blown on it, but i dont see what thrills it would remove from the game? Nobody is forcing anybody to use SC nor do you even need all this stuff...

the game is already unfair for sc vs sc users, and there is no part not unbalanced by sc :P
A lot of these were ideas i added for convenience and variety, give SC users more of a choice in what they buy, items that they would be likely to buy in the first place, because remember, it has to be good enough and convey a large enough advantage that people will spend money on it, thats the whole point. Will they add any, will they add it without balance tweaks? who knows, half the fun is just discussing and brainstorming! Keep the chat up and ideas flowing everyone :)

I agree that these ideas actually seem more useful, and wouldn't completely destroy game balance.

Here are a few more ideas
Symbol of Leadership
When the bearer of this item is leading a party, experience is increased by 5% per person for the whole party
(so 4 additional party members means an extra 20% exp boost, not much, but makes partying with more people more desirable).
Magic Rations
==> Feeding your mount these rations boosts their speed for XX for X hours (or XX mins?)
(basically a ration when used on your mount gives them a speed boost for a short time)
Picnic Basket
=> Sets up a picnic on the ground, complete with an umbrella! Everyone sitting within X distance around it will restore hp and sp and gain the happyness buff which, well, does nothing except show how happy you are!
(restoration rate should be equivalent to a premium house)
Ancient Recipe Tome
=> Allows the production of scrolls and potions not normally available
So while you have this, you can make those darn concentration scrolls and str potions etc that arent available except through quests. I can dream cant I? XD
Keep the ideas coming everyone :)

Space-Time Vortex
Using this item allows one character to be transfered to another server.
[Permanent change]
As for the above poster, I like Symbol of Leadership. It sounds a bit OP, so I'd rather see it as a 2/4/6/8/10% boost. Because it's power increases as more party members join, and it gives more exp for the members joining who do not have the item itself this would serve to further encourage party play. (which is a good thing)

Let's add something we can safely guarantee they won't make...heheh
Roar of Silence
Allows you to actually block Roars.
- uses an innovative new interactive pricing system- a 500 SC fee gets you 30 days of Roar of Silence, but it charges you 100 SC every time it blocks a roar. (The offenders pretty much pay per roar, so...)
Oh wait, looking at those numbers they might actually make this one. :D

lmao, if only we could block roars =.=
Keep the suggestions and comments rolling everyone!
