View Full Version : Should I join the Alpione server?

I was wondering... If I ever find my rebate info, should I try Alpione?

The problem is, though, that I played for +2 months and got only to level 27...

I like to stay in Uruga, spamhealing the heroes of Isya, instead of grinding. Its how I play. It took me a long time to become a firmiliar and welcomed sight in Teva's Uruga, and I am afraid that I will have been forgotten there. More importantly, I am really bad at video games, and that first month of playing was the time it took me to get to a whimpy level 20...

I'd have to start from scratch in Alpione, and I'd hate to have to go through all that grinding agian, but I'd have to in order to be any use in Uruga! *sighs*

See my plight?

Well, there really isn't too much a difference between the servers, so I think you should stay in Teva.

If your that worried about leveling and being known in Uruga, a server change isn't for you. It would just put too much stress on you.

However, if you can sit back and ride a slow ride to your current standing in Teva without getting frustrated, go ahead and join us here in Apoline!

I wish you luck in your decision. =D

We have Steam! That's the best reason I can think of to come Apoline. Heck, it was enough to keep me here.

I'd love to meet Steam sometime, but I'd really love to get to know Cretz, especially 'cause he's a CSR. Perhaps I'll take a buisness course where I could use an interview of his buisness insights! *thinks up nerdy-bookie plot*

Plus there's the 2x/3x Exp things he does now and then. XD

But yeah...if you're stressed about leaving Teva, I wouldn't do it. ^^

If you do decide to make the change, feel free to contact me, and I'd be more than happy to help you acclimate to Apoline and get through the tedious grind to Uruga. Most of us don't bite, and if we do it's only playful :P

Lies. My bites are forever only kinky.

As far as getting started again, I would also be glad to help out.

Apoline is a good server with a great GM, and it has some good apples, though many bad as I suspect the other servers deal with as well.

Aww... Yall are soo sweet! ^^

Its just that I like the community of alpione a lot more; the literacy rate is higher, not to mention, yall tend to be soo friendly!
I think I'll start playing the alpione server, despite myself.
...Once I find the recept for the rebate on my computer.

Considering 2/3 of Apoline are elitist and harrass users that log over there when Teva is down, yes... Steam is the best/only reason to come to Apoline if you're into the fanboy/girl junk.

Everyone always says that Apoline is "Elitist", I don't quite see it. I've never seen anyone pull off a "GB2Teva nub", or indeed been into contact with any form of snobbery based on level against anyone who is not:
Running around CP under level 25, asking to party with 50+.
Anyone harassing someone for a power level.
Anyone below level 30 or so in Uruga who's asking for a party, if only because those party-slots could be filled with someone so much higher in level.

As for Steam... he's always good at "forgetting" to turn off multiple XP events, which is nice, especially for 50+, where regular mob XP is far, far too low and death chance is far, far too high.

The times I've logged onto Apoline while Teva was down, Apoline has had lv 30+ players in the newbie areas screaming "Go back to Teva, we don't want you here.." etc. It's a bit of overkill, and I await the day that they GMs implement a server war, giving Teva capability to face off against Apoline in a world-wide showdown.

Well, more fool them, they were wasting precious levelling time and a chance to set up shop for some mats from the influx of new players. Not exactly 2/3 of the population, rather some childish rejects afraid that some Tevans might like Apoline and stay to out-level them. I suggest you try on a day when Teva isn't down, and people aren't getting involved in such nonsense.

As for a server war, Teva is older, has more members, and as such would have a rather large advantage.
Apoline would still win though, because I'm there.

D8 I've never seen people do that...but then again, I don't go into the newbie areas unless I have a quest that takes me there.

Not all of Apoline is idiotic like that though. ^^;;

I like to go to places with a higher level than my own. As I said before, though, I spamheal people and almost always refuse party invites.
It just really makes me sad, though, when someone calls me a n00b, just because of my level. I've only had that happen twice, but if I go back to Teva now, I'll have likely been forgotten already... v.v

That would be bad for me....very bad. I'd have to pick between my characters...and I'd have to pick Alektos. -.-' Because I have to protect my guild first and foremost.

Apoline is actually a pretty good server and I haven't played much on teva or bijou, but even though Steam sama is in there, it's funny to see what usually happens in Elderine at times. I'm not a fan of Steam, but it's worth having fun in Apoline.^^;
