if the enhance fail on step +6 u get the item +2,
if the enhance fail on the step +7 u get ur gear +1 or maybe u lose ur item..
whats happ if the enhance fail at the step +8? +9? n +10?

if you fail going to +7 item goes to back to plan no +
if you fail going to +8-10 the item is lost

Correction:

If you fail reaching +5 at +4, the item goes back to +3.
If you fail reaching +6 at +5, the item goes back to +2.
If you fail reaching +7 at +6, the item goes back to +1.
If you fail reaching +8 at +7, the item loses all previous enhancements (but not AP).
Failure at +8 and beyond results in the destruction of the item.

And if +7 isn't high enough for you, simply shut down your computer and take a brisk walk. The fresh air will do you good. :)

Ahem, anything beyond +6, if it fails you can lose the item. If you fail trying to +7 an item, it can break and you lose the item. Sometimes you will get lucky and it won't break, but most of the time it will. Also when trying to +6 an item and failing, I've had it go back to +3 and to +2 at different times, and I've also had an item I was trying to +5 go back to +2 and +3 at separate times when I failed.

So I think this would be more accurate to say:

Failing any enhancement beyond +4 will result in the deleveling of the gear if it fails.
Failing any enhancement beyond +6 can result in the destruction of the gear if it fails.

There is no specific number it will go down depending on the +. It's random. And yes gears can be destroyed if you fail at +7 or higher.

So, if you want any gear beyond +6, you should first obtain multiple copies of it, that way if one gets destroyed you will still have another.

XD I have done this MANY MANY times, each time the results are the same, I'll give ya the rundown of my experiences:

attempting---------------what happens if fail
================================
+0 to +1----------------------nothing
+1 to +2----------------------nothing
+2 to +3----------------------nothing
+3 to +4----------------------nothing
+4 to +5----------------------+ goes back down to +3
+5 to +6----------------------+ goes back down to +2
+6 to +7----------------------+ goes back down to whatever AP was on the item with like 5% chance to break
(done that one many many many times, always results the same, lost 1 gear in like 30 attempts)

+7 to +8 and higher, gear destroyed 100% if fail from what I have heard, haven't attempted this yet as I
haven't felt like the risk is worth it.
