[REQUEST] Spam at Towns

Damn, its impossible to talk on towns, roumen and elderine
those bots making ad's of their sites (buy gold , powerlevel bla bla bla)
at least in Bijou server its like that...
could you guys pleeease,
i know i talk for all the players of the server,
disponibilize a GM to ban daily all those guys?
this makes our stay in those towns really stressing

They'd basically need a GM (or three GMs to cover all 24 hours) that just stands around Roumen all day and bans the spamers directly. ^^'

It is the "**** Roach Complex" You squash 1 and 10 more pop up to takes it place. It is a never ending battle. :(

this is the most infested game i've seen so far. They wouldn't be here in such volume if they didn't have clients. Problem isn't just "them", its the players with low ethic as well.

1) filter out normal chat in towns. just shout instead.
2) stop buying from them. they wouldnt exist if people kept buying from them.

The most infested game is Runescape. Not just a few gold spammers, but they have bots that do tasks that make RS money, such as woodcutting, fishing, and runecrafting. Then they sell that money on ebay or something.

It's nice to hold shift and hit Z to filter normal chat from shout chat but you can't see the other players and that feels a bit lonely doesn't it?

What would be neat is if you say the same line more than 20 times, you'll go to the restricted area! xD

that could be solution. It would add incredible stress on servers though, unless they already monitor and log the chat. Client-side monitoring would just get hacked

Not really true, they could add a check on the client that receives the message to only show it if the same message wasn't there before, then nobody can hack it except the player that receives the message.
