dont you realize the ppl who are lvl 50 and still playing this game are the ppl who are addicted to it. You will not find a lvl 50 isnt crazy about this game, cuz the ones that are bored are obliviously GONE/quited now.

A little of column A, a little of column B.

I really, really love being level 54. I love being able to tank four trumpies alone, holding all the aggro, and let the Famous Maiya terminate them with her AOEs, all while never having to use a stone. I love that in a party with some cleric backup, that I can tank nine or ten Trumpies at once, and I do, just because I can.

I love being able to solo every regular enemy in the game, as well as quite a few bosses and hero monsters.

I love finally doing triple digit damage, and my four digit crits.

In short, I love being epic. I felt pretty heroic when three people just stopped and stared at me when I was sitting taking on a mob of around eight Weakened Ogres and King Colls on my own, waiting for my party, which was working on some other mobs nearby, to come and start killing it.
I feel pretty heroic when I travel around with fourteen other people, and between us we slay a dragon too.

So.... What don't I love?

Let's start with the quests.
What quest do I have now?
Well, Mizen wants me to deliver some common toadstools as a coming out present to Avon. Nina wants me to help a delivery man make his deliveries. I'm pretty sure I've got a quest to slay the dread goblin king (can't do it, bugged), I just recently completed a quest to gather some herbs so that Avon could cultivate them or something....
And one quest right now to slay the minions of some unknown Bondage Lord in the Bonds of Darkness, protecting Elderine from their unique brand of latex domination.

Yeah, I don't feel too heroic when I kill one hundred vampire bats and twenty lightning vivis, then get asked to do it all over again. That's not a quest, that's a chore. And know what? The pay is terrible too. Wow, the quest that takes something like an hour to complete and gives 10000 Exp? That's lovely. I need 1.4 million Exp to gain a level. 8 silver reward? I can make 100 silver in an hour, just by farming in AEW, and the monsters there actually feel like a challenge at least.
The only decently challenging quest I have is the Bonds of Darkness series. Once I beat them all, which shouldn't take long, only three more types of enemies before I actually complete a quest for the Torturer King, then what do I do for the next five levels? I really don't fancy spending two hours harvesting around some low level area for mushrooms, I'm not planning on completing some level 40 quest about smelting armour, nor am I going to kill another hundred bats, they're just not that good.

I'm sure that eventually I'll get a repeatable chore which will involve killing prisoners, torturers and Steve the mailman, then another for killing some hero monster that takes five times as long to kill as their non-heroic brethren for twice the Exp.... And that will be a nice distraction at least, until those quests are all finished and done with, and then it's back to my other problem with being level 50+.

The grind.
Kingdom Quest Exp doesn't match it, quests don't even come close unless you're lucky enough to have a quest that's for the exact same mob you want to be grinding against, and then you're still grinding anyway.

Each monster gives 1000 Exp to you? You only need 1.4 million Exp? You lucky thing That's almost one and a half thousand enemies. If each takes thirty seconds to kill, that's eleven hours of solid grinding needed to gain one level, provided that you don't die at all.
Now for a reality check: You'll probably take longer, get less and die frequently. Such is the risk of battle.
Quests don't speed this process up any, if anything they slow it down. You're looking at maybe thirteen hours of grinding, just to gain a level.

Now, I, unlike many people, don't really mind grinding too much, but over twelve hours per level, when we're barely even halfway to the "real" maximum level of 100? That's a little excessive, isn't it?
I have no problem with hardcore grinding being the fastest way to gain Exp, but combined with the lack of decently rewarding quests, levelling becomes like trying to turn a mountain into a molehill using a nail file.
It's not like you can pass the time seeking out and killing bosses either, since they spawn only once every five hours.

If the quests you could pick up some levels were goodies, and completing them was both challenging (as opposed to tedious, such as waiting around killing a rare-spawn mob fifty times - Looking at you Sand Ratmen) and rewarding, such as granting maybe 10% of your Exp needed to level (for the level you get the quest) as a reward for finishing that quest, then it would be worthwhile, and take away from the grind.
Heck, some more quests would be nice, with some more unique rewards. I could sure use the occassional quest for a pre-enhanced weapon, or a rare item making recipe, or some more funky skills. People like to be rewarded, and when levelling slows down, money becomes trivial and you don't get a pretty new item of clothing for another week, another skill in two weeks.... you start hoping for some new toys to play with, to break up the monotony.

Make the dungeon bosses spawn more frequently, and then you could spend your time adventuring for nice items, which would take away from the grind.

Make it permanently 2x Exp?
Yeah, that would be appreciated. It's pretty much mandatory for anyone wanting to level at 50+ to wait for an Exp event to do so.

Its fun and all .. in the 50s, but I never have the urge to grind anymore :(

Reading these posts, I'm reminded about the fact that, along with the update that ups the level cap, there's also talk of quests to fill them as well. If those include the L50s then that might be just what you're looking for.

That and bug fixes for the quests you can't access.

Let me tell you 1 thing.. the most boring part in the game is.. beginers complaing and whineing about plvl..!
after that its the lvl part betwin lvl 16-20 Because thats the part where the king slime ends and you have no fun KQ to play after a 1-2 hour long farming or grinding

maybe send some suggestions to outspark, some really incredible graphics for skills could make grinding less boring, plus you probably shouldn't grind since you don't get much income for new skills, and you fall behind then

By the high levels it takes so long you to level you should have plenty of money (or so it seems? highest is 33).

I would say the biggest cash flow problem area is 20-25 when skill costs skyrocket and income increases just a bit.
Especially if you try enhancing (30s down the drain in 10 minutes).

I'm finding lvl 50+ to be a blast! My cleric's build is finally tuned they way I want it. My skills have been honed to a fine edge for my play style. I'm able to find grinding areas a'plenty ^_^ Prior to 50 things were harder for me. At 30-40 I was weak an unable to do mobs. At 40-50 I was unable to support my duo partner. Now at 50+ all is working well. Leveling is harder, but I'm able to take on all monsters I run into so all I need do is hit the right grind spots. The questing seems to be few and far between, but the quests are easier and pay off nicely. At 50+ you can play in BOD and that dungeon is the cats meow for green drops and goodish experience. All in all, being in the 50's has increased my enjoyment/interest in the game.

well.. anyway everyone is different and yes it does get a little boring after 50 I guess because of all the exp you need but it doesn't mean you should stop playing. Don't give up on something just because it'll take a little time. 50 is nothing compared to all the lv70+'s need so until you even get to 60 don't complain about 50 because the game doesn't start until you get at least to there.

The person who posted above me is right. I mean, me personally, I'm not in my 50's yet, but if you think you're having trouble right now, just wait until the day you are in your 70's+, if you don't decide to quit or something before then.

Why not just have that character go on hiatus for a little bit and start a new character from scratch? In other MMO's, when I got sick of trying to level my high level characters, I found creating something completely new was fun and refreshing.

yeah at 50s, its kinda boring to lvl the char considering at this rate..u wont get any new map to explore..just go back and forth from uruga, aew, fos, back to cp1 and cp2..

thou so, i still managed to passed the burden of 50s to get to 60s..it just a matter on how u enjoyed yourself and find out something, somekind and somewhere to amuse your lvling..

me myself, speaking of hardship to lvl in 50s, i think i got no problem at all..i lvled like speed of bullet in 50s. you need to know how and best approach to lvl fast..i dont play 24 hours per day..i played during night but i made the best of it

if you still bored, make a new char..a fresh beginning..or the same char with a twist setup (eg. end fighter - str fighter) it might refresh you a bit..

go for chest hunting at low lvl map if you get too bored..or help newbie doing quest like mara, marlone, gk..it will recall your sweet memories when you at low level ^_^
