The only known ways to increase your chances at refining are the blessed and lucky elrues and the cash-shop items (red mill, etc.).
But remember that they only decrease the chance that the process fails or that the weapons break. It can always happen and there will always be a risk.
So, only try it if you are willingly taking this risk and have at least enough money to buy a spare weapon for the case that your first one breaks. If you think that's too hard to try, then just buy already enhanced weapons from private vendors etc. ;)
