Wand Or Staff???

:confused: need help Wand or staff what is better???¿?? i choose Wand but im not sure heeeelppp

Personally I prefer the wand. Wands have a higher damage + higher crit rate. The only real benefit with a staff is a higher aim bonus, but that really doesn't matter because mages have very high aim regardless.

It might make a difference at much higher levels, but as far as I'm concerned, the wand is the best up to the current cap.

level 20 wand(monsters evasion is low, its not needed)
level 30 wand(monsters evasion is low, its not needed)
level 40 staff(the monsters evasion get high and u need that extra aim)
level 50 staff(the monsters evasion get high and u need that extra aim)

That extra aim doesn't really matter when you're fighting things in Uruga and the Ancient Elven Woods. I use a wand, and I miss very rarely. Even without scrolls, I don't miss often. The extra aim isn't necessary, but if you need to save cash, and it's the best you can do, the staff is still not shabby. Not the best, but you could do worse.

I was in Ancient Elven Woods in Party with a Fighter and a Cleric, my level was 35 and my hit rate was about 80% and with Power Scroll about 95%, i don´t think that a mage will ever need Staff, because of its Aim-Bonus

Well, personally... wands look dorkish. They do and u all now it, but the power is very helpfull also i belive staffs are cheaper, heck i think ill just get a gree wand at lvl 20 then try to get both wand an staffs when i Get to the lvl's when i can get new weps. But yea a wand has more power, and more power is good. Also it depends if u can bare to use a wand. As i said, they look kinda dorkish, staffs look much cooler(thats my opion, but then again id rather be a powerfull dork then a cool weakling. But yes wands r more powerful but alos more expensive. So get witchever u like and/or can afford.

Why cant I enhance or refine my wand I received when I completed the wizmage quest? I dont have 5s to buy one from the vendor = (. Anyone else have this problem?

It matters what your looking for i use a staff right now cause it has high spr and int and i could find another affordable wand that was even close to being as good as my staff

Maybe you're doing what I did back then. You can't place the weapon on the refine window if your character is using it. You have to take it off and then put on the refine window.

personally in my opinon wand is far better then a staff however there are a few things that do seperate a wand and staff

staff~
higher aim
lower power
digs into the ground so you cant see the end usally
un enhanced usally looks better

wand~
higher power
higher critical
looks excelent enhanced
shorter so it wont dig into ground <3

now those are the differences granted its not all of them but maby it will help you decide staff dosnt really help you save money nor does wand because either staff you do less damage so resorting more stones or wand you miss alittle more often and need scrolls so the choise is up to you =)

anyways it really doesnt matter. the differences are so small between the two that they might as well be the same weapon. but then again staffs are the best cause of summon and blink. so staffs ftw :D

im lvl 86 and i use a BK +9 staff
wand looks better but with the staff i dont miss archers, and i get missed more...
