I don't believe in such things. The world won't end in 2012, that there are so many disasters is simply either due to natural causes or due to the fact that humanity is slowly murdering Mother Earth. And under slow I mean slow, and not 2 years...

The 2012 thing was already proved to be Wrong since they found out when recalculating the maya calender thing they used the world is supposed to go byebye in 2212 so a miss calculation of 200 years . So the 2012 theory fails anyways , Nice pictures in the article tho ^^ . We dutchy's wanted our money back from icesave in iceland now they hit us back with vulcano's and ash clouds .=.

our grandchildren can still prove that that might be wrong as well XD though it's none of our concerns then. Yet if it was proven to be miscalculated, how come there are still so many people who believe in it? o.o Is it again the lack of common sense?

A) Panic like a madman and start insta-converting

B) Not give a damn, live my life as I've always lived and panic the moment it happens

C) Start my own 2012 oriented cult and use the collection money to support option B.

Meh i think the 2012 think is bs. The world can end at any moment! Noone can predict when the world will actually end! They said all machines and electronic devices would stop workin in 2001, but did it, Nope. So 2012 is just somethin that is another hoax or watever you want to call it.

I respect your opinion fully and am not going to state my own on the subject, but:

I do think it's highly unlikely for 2012 to be armageddon. For no other reason than these end of the world threats have been a common occurrence since the early 1950's, and even more common from about 1986 to present. Us all being alive today means, of course, that none of them were true.

in actuality, the mayan calendar starts over at on 12/21/2012 or whatever date.
it's basically like 12/31 for us, except for we keep our years counting up forever instead of restarting it every 2000 years.

ugh i hate this subject because its always oh we will die 2012 or something rediculious like this. they dont necesarily say that the world will end 2012 but that change will happen in one way or another. BTW its not just the mayans calender that states armageddon or change on certain dates am i right?
such as our bible. its really hard to say for myself that we will not die at this exact day but for sure is kinda skiddish in a way since yes there has been many times in wich prediction have been made saying blahdy blahdy blah... worlds end blah blah blah.... we die UNLIKELY I TELL YOU!!

The person that said the world was predicted to end in 2212 was wrong too. The Mayans never predicted the end of the world. That 2012 (or 2212) date was the end of their calendar. Someone misinterpreted that meaning, and everyone's been blowing it way out of proportion ever since. If you talk to ANYONE that's Mayan and familiar with their culture, they'll tell you that you're an idiot for believing the world will end. Just like the crazy people that thought 2000 would be the end of the world.
