View Full Version : Pissed off-edness reaching epic levels. GM Please view

OK. For the past 3 days, I've been getting this problem. And it only does it after patches. Aren't patches supposed to fix problems, not cause more? Anyway, it's worse this time because i recently bought 10 dollars worth of spark cash. And i want to USE IT.

I should not be getting a connection refused error after every fuc*ing patch.
Do not tell me to reinstall. I did it.
Do not tell me to download that stupid useless stand alone patch.
Do not tell me "keep trying, it'll work" because no, it won't.
Do not tell me to restart my computer. I did it.

Everytime I start it up, i get the "looking for patches" gayness. then it gets the error 10061 connection refused. my specs don't matter because its Fiesta's fault because it's worked before. I'm not paying my well-earned money to sit here and stare at error screens for hours. No one replies in the troubleshooting thread. And the replies that are there are utterly useless.

I. Want. Answers.

Oh, and to other people who consider this "jerk"ish. You'd be annoyed too if you spent real money on something, only to have it not available, and when you go to get answers for it, nothing happens. I'm 17 years old and I can only work about 30 hours a week. My paychecks are slim and I split half with my dad to help pay the rent. With the $160 i have left, I'd like to enjoy it.

well, if that's the case, Cash shop shouldn't even be up. i mean, like all you people say, "its beta!!!"

if i take the initiative to spend money on a game, something i've never done before, then outspark should take the initiative to give good customer service to their customers.

they dont ow you nothing you've decided to pay.
cash shop always fucs up good games, like updates every week with new CS items but no bugg fixes for ages.
Better of buying membership in RS or WoW(2 things i never did cause i dont pay for online games, waste of money)

Sorry if this is gonna **** you off, but try being more polite. I know you're vexed, but people are going to be more willing to work out the problem if you're not swearing every two seconds.

Anyways, check your computer for problems first, to make sure that there's a problem with the Fiesta servers instead of your computer.

Smitske, I also agree with you partly. xD It is a waste of money, but only in some ways. If you really spend a lot of time on Fiesta and want to show your appreciation, then buying SparkCash is basically donating to them. n.n

Rayuku, I recommend only buying segments of $5 from now on just incase it happens again and it's unfixable, you can't get a refund, blah blah blah. Sorry for the lack of actual useful advice...heh heh.

Instead of *****ing at him/her about his/her rudeness and the bit about the Outspark cash, how about you lot actually approach his/her problem(except the one person that did, albeit very vaguely)?

Anyway. You said the game was working before this patch..Do you have a firewall? I know with McAfee's firewall, every time a program has a new patch, you need to delete it from the approved list and re-add it. I don't know what it could be other than that.

You're pissing into the wind. Do you like doing such a thing?

Most people who took a moment would realize this is posted somewhere most GMs wont look. Color me curious but why do you do this to yourself when it could be posted in Troubleshooting.. or Feedback or any of the other numerous areas.

Dude, I understand you perfectly and it seems to me that the people here would rather ignore you then actually look at your problem. I've been having this stupid "Unauthorized 412" message all the time. Everytime I need to play fiesta, I have to reinstall the game even though the version Im using is not obsolete. I've posted about this problem more then three times but the GMs or CSR wont respond.
The only thing I can tell you is dont spend any money on it. Because from my perspective, the future patches are gonna make my gaming experience even worse than it already is.
I fully sympathize with you.
Oh and to all the others who didn't even bother to at least tackle his problem, thank you verrrrrrry much (its sprinkled in sarcasm)

Ok, I've subsequently seen all the people complaining about no one helping this poor guy with his problem...first off my condolences on not being able to solve it with this post, but no one but a CSR or GM can help you...and since they all have inboxes on this forum that should pretty much have been the first approach...secondly as is stated by one of the posters above this is the wrong forum to post such things, and thirdly I posted the rules of this game for a reason...that they were provided to you when you installed the game, and in fact you have to agree to them in order to do so. It's not that I don't want to help you (despite what the TROLLS above say) It's that your derision in general is not justified since you, as an intelligent and reasonable human being, had full knowledge that you could be screwed out of your money at any point in time. I know there are those who won't believe that I have sympathy for you, but I really do, it's not fair to pay for something and not receive it. The game is still in a beta state, has a license agreement that hinders your ability to recover your losses and, as you stated above, you make very little money and shouldn't be spending it on something that you had full knowledge to be a bad investment.
As far as it being Fiesta's fault you receive this error has yet to be seen, you neither posted system specs (oh, you think you don't need to post system specs in a troubleshooting thread...why even post?), nor what kind of firewall or antivirus you run. Maybe your firewall is blocking it since it happens after patches and many software firewalls block programs that have changes since their original install. Maybe you have a port blocked.
Next, it has been my experience that most troubleshooting threads are made before the poster even searches for their error code. MY quick search revealed a thread started by a GM for your exact problem: http://www.outspark.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23816&highlight=10061 It's a good place to start.

The last thing you could always do is be patient..The GMs and CSRs are busy and may take a while to get to you.

True that the GMs owe them nothing, but if you've learned the basics of economics or business, you would know the rule which is "customers are always right". It is the role of the people who took the money to keep the customers happy.

You could order something from Amazon.com and have them never ship it. I'm sure they've covered their *** in such an event. Thing is, you don't expect nor is it reasonable to expect such a thing to happen. You have the right to good service if someone is taking your money, unless it's a scam.
