Hi everyone, I decided to make my first story. If you would like to be in, then post your name, weapon preference, char's personality, and a pic of the selected char. Thanks for your time!

Chapter 1: Introduction

The beautiful waves splashed against the pristine white sand of the beach, where giant merchant’s ships laden with treasure and bedecked with flags and guns sailed proudly, and distant in the horizon, far-off lands rested, waiting to be explored. The battle between Teva’s and Legel’s minions persists, and brave human healers and warriors and powerful sages and marksmen, all fought the war for Teva against the evil creatioens of Legel.

Some humans, however, got tainted by the dark influence of Legel and his creed, and pursued greed and bloodshed over justice and freedom. They follow the ways of the animal, and pursue only their desires, but so far, the adventurers of Teva are winning against the minions of Legel.

Firstly, let me introduce you a little to this world, which is called Isya. There are four main classes among the ranks of Teva’s soldiers, each of which encompasses many different ways to utilize this class’s special skills. The first, Fighters, are the hardiest of the classes. They use their defense and pure brawn to defeat enemies, which when coupled with their knowledge of special melee techniques that can stun, severely wound, slow down, or in another way incapacitate their opponents makes them one of the most difficult to kill classes. Their almost only weakness is a very low resistance for magic, which makes them fodder for a powerful enough mage.

By comparison, mages are frail in body, but are not to be challenged in their mental abilities. They can slow, freeze, or stop their targets ability to use special attacks. At higher levels, they can even can summon undead, teleport and make their target lose control over his body for a period of time! Mages also know many spells of pure destruction, which can be used quickly in succession to make a deadly combo of powerful blasts. They are masters of the elements fire, lightning, and ice. Mages in general are the glass cannons of Isya.

Clerics, the masters of light, are the exact opposite of mages in that they use their magic for healing, not destruction. They are a fighter’s best friend. They can heal, cure poisons and illnesses, and even enhance one’s endurance and mental capacity, defense and attack, and magical defense and resistance. They also, with the right gear can prove good damage dealers.

Archers, the master hunters and trackers, are known throughout Isya for their aim and skills to evade most blows that come their way. That is, if the target isn’t dead before it hits him, which most archers can do quite easily. They can coat their arrows with potent poisons, steel tips that open the wounds and bleed the victim, and even disease coated arrows that incapacitate enemies with deadly illnesses. Archers are perfect scouts, and at higher levels can even increase their attack rate or make themselves invisible. These masters of the bow and arrow are, as the ninjas say, “At one with the universe”

That was painfully short for chapter 1. o.o It sounds more like a short prologue, actually.
I do like your writing style, though.
