I present machintruc, pinto7nco, and selinageli. This area is the eastern part of the Burning Hill map, where the glow wolves and gold slimes appear. They operate as a three-cleric-team, KSing me while I was questing there, and do not even bother to pick up (all) their loot.

I'm going to post images of bots I come across from now on. I'm not going out of my way to find them, but when I do encounter any, I'll let the whole Teva community know about it.

Look out, Moonlight Tomb, I'm coming for you next...

Up next is CrimsonG, botter, and Fibroblast, his partner-in-grind, Ksing me on one of my return trips for a repeating quest.

The only reason they couldn't loot from me was because I was surprisingly dealing more damage than the fighter.

I suspect that the bot program they were using had a waypoint system, wherein one specifies an area to grind in, and said bot program doesn't deviate from said specified area.

I tested this out by moving closer to the northeastern "gate" of the Burning Hill map, and they didn't follow, sticking only the map's eastern section.

I think there are some new ones in the graveyard in MT (I don't have screenshots and don't remember the names); they fight as a group. If I recall correctly the leader runs to a mob and fights it then when the other bot comes over the leader stops fighting and starts dancing while the second bot continues the fight, and its the same dance every time.

Would probly be fairly easy to fix..... I'm assuming the bot program uses a macro that 'clicks' to the different stuff/places on the screen. A way to fix it is fot the devs to make it so that if you Add someone to friends list, the window that pops up stays up and doesnt let you do anything until you close it by clicking on the cancel or add button... Then whenever you suspect some, you just add them, and if they just sit there and die afterwards, you know it was a bot for sure. Off the top of my head, I can only think of 2 problems with that solution..... first is that the botters would add a 'click' where the button would be if that window came up (easily fixed by having the window pop up in a random place on the screen, and second is the possibility of abuse..... and having been in MMOGs for about 10 years now, I can say that possibility is very high (such as prepubescents getting you killed by sending you an invite at an inopportune time in the heat of battle).

Anyways..... that was just some thoughts off the top of my head. Personally, I can't stand people who do something like these 'botters'..... But I do not have a problem with being able to use macros for some tasks in a game. If any of you reading this remember the game Ultima Online, you pretty much had to use a macro program to develop any skills for crafting or whatever, (unless you truly wanted to go crazy, or already were OC (Obsessive Compulsive)). Dang, havent thought about that game in a long time. It really was a good game, but the 'bad seeds' ruined it. I only played for about 6 months (back when you could still make Black Dye tubs for dyeing clothes), and only stopped for 2 reasons...... the bugs in the game enabled said jer-koffs to break into my home, and steal all of my gameworld possessions.... twice..... including my oh so precious black dye tubs (was after they were no longer able to be made, but we could keep already existing ones), and the second reason was because Evercrack, er I mean EverQuest came out.

But, I digress and got way off topic. To summarize, Botters = Bad, Prepubescent, arrogant little (insert word that is same as what a needle does to your finger) that should be punished. And MMOGs are great, but need speedy bug/exploit fixes to keep said ^^same as above^^ from ruining the game for the good natured people making an honest way thru the game and making friends in the process of enjoying not spending all their money going out in the real world. :D

P.S.- Damn, here I go...... another MMOG, another me starting to write novels in the forums.
