People can't delete me form buddy list!

Hi!

i have a problem (or i'm the problem xD) cuz my friends can't delete me from their buddy list!
And many times (i don't know if all the time) in party, players don't see me in yellow!!! :eek:

i'm thinking maybe the ° in my name have something to do with all these problems uhmmm


help me please!!!!!

The special character in your name may very well be the issue. Unfortunately character names in Solstice cannot be edited, so your choices are to live with the minor inconveniences, or delete the character and make a new one.

I wish there were more options, but honest .. changing a character name will break your entire account. :(

well it's not the ° cuz also my others characters have the same problem! and when somebody wants to delete me, a game say "Buddy doesn't exist" (something like that)

I have a buddy with a special character on my bl, I've been trying to delete him since the days of GM Break, I don't get told he doesn't exist though, just nothing happens when I right click, no options. I can't move him into lists either.

Your in-game name has been found to be inappropriate as it does not allow other users, nor Outspark Staff to identify you. It will be changed to bobalitos to match your SparkID.

I believe the op is speaking of their in-game name, as in-game names in Solstice cannot, as Circe said, be edited. :)
Perhaps you are thinking of a game other than Solstice.

That was my little appy whose name was but a mere ° and two spaces. Someone saw me in PVP and reported me, i guess. The next day, i got that PM from solstice_help and my appy's name has indeed been changed to bobalitos, resulting to the little apprentice's immediate deletion.

The point is: the special characters used to work in making new characters-- not anymore =/. some of the things i've noticed about characters that have special letters include

i) the character name remains white in the party bar
ii) people cannot delete you off of their buddy list
iii) once you become party leader, you cant pass it to any other person

Guild related things seem to be fine.

There are 2 possibilities as to what's going on here.

1: DnC had an update at some point that prevents CSR or whoever from changing Solstice player names, and bob's app was before that update...

2: the person who changed bobalitos' app's name used a tool or technique that Circe is not aware of.

I think it's more likely the first scenario is what's going on considering the evidence of glitches bob gave concerning special character named players.
