View Full Version : Mighty Chop cooldown question

Can anyone tell me the 1-5 cooldown empowerments for Mighty Chop? What I mean is, for each point into cooldown, how much is the overall cooldown improved? They aren't listed in the Wiki, and I'm debating about whether I want to empower Mighty Chop cooldown at all. I'm leaning toward not empowering it, but I'd like to know the facts before I set my mind. If the empowerment points really are useless, it'll be an easy decision. If they're pretty helpful, my decision will be a bit more difficult.
I'm a hybrid cleric -- I party a lot, but I also love my solo time for some mindless bashing. It seems to me that if I'm soloing, the right combination to use would be Quicken-MightyChop-Bleed-Bash-MightyChop-(Likely a Heal)-Bash-Bleed and then not worry about cooling down Mighty Chop at all. (My Quicken cooldown is already maxed, and the same for Bash and Bleed.)

I'm assuming you have the 5 points already?
I wish I can tell you but I'm not at that level. However, you can wait until you get 5 skill points and increase it one by one and see how it goes (don't accept the empowerment until you are satisfy with the results.)

I'm level 77 at the moment, so I can't do the trial testing, sadly. I'm just trying to plan ahead so I don't have any empowerment regrets later on. I'm making decisions about what to save up points for. (For instance, I know right now that I definitely want to put 5 points into Deadly Blessing cooldown as soon as I get it, so from level 91-100, I don't get to spend any skill points.)

according to http://fiestafan.com/tools ... it's 21 secs.. 30sec-9(5pts empowerment)
here are all the incremental CDs:

Thank you, Fatal!
*makes note not to bother empowering Mighty Chop* Thirty seconds is broken; 21 seconds is better but still pretty darn broken.

I noticed you forgot to put Auto Attack as part of your combination, but if you don't spam the auto attack key, I'd suggest you do if you solo. I maxed out Mighty Chop once (but later took it out because I couldn't live without full CD on Awaken) and it was...helpful to an extent, but full CD on Bash and Bleed should suffice with Auto-Attacking, since you'll mainly spam those 3 (auto attack, bleed, bash) even at lvl 100+

This database is based on the Korean version no? I know the empowerments are the same, but the skills look a little different. :)

At all.

*curious headtilt* There's no need to spam autoattack. Once you start attacking, autoattack is quite automatic.

Perhaps you could update your cleric guide? This is what I found there:
Mighty Chop/ Punch: Another offensive cleric skill. Mighty Chop is for Maces and Mighty Punch is for Hammers. These skills are pretty useless because of their cool down, however empowering cool time may be wise
-Empowerments: Max Cool Down
*Not necessary but advised if you intend to solo
Since you don't advise it, an update would be good. :) Maybe mention the Quicken combo that I was talking about as an alternative to cooling it down? Of course that's not necessary, but it might possibly be helpful to some.

I think Senza is referring to animation canceling, trying to get as much DPS as possible. I could be wrong though.

Atleast on fighters, When you spam auto-attack at the same time as spamming your skills, the auto attack is stacked ontop of the skills, with no animation (or a glitchy animation) shown. This is how good pvpers are set back from bad pvpers xD

Ahh, I'm not PVP in the least. I refuse to even go into the PVP KQ at this point.
Thank you for explaining, though! I'll remember that, especially when I start working on my fighter later on. I think I'll have to do some experiments with it this weekend. Right now, though, I only have two attack skills (>.<), so my attack skill spamming is sadly limited.

Stacking isn't so apparent in clerics due to the fact that there's barely any that would do it and have the right empowerments to pull it off, but it exists :)
