The type of mount you should go after depends partially on your budget and your fighting style. What class and level are you, and how much can you spare for a mount?

Mouts are expensive. Even "cheap" mounts can cost upwards of 100 million Kron. I have a "middle-of-the-road" (as in not great but not crappy) mount, and mine's worth approximately 300 million.
These are Adeline prices I speak of; you can shave about 65% off of these numbers if you're on Marian.
Your best bet is to save all the pet quest items you loot and hatch your own pet, which you can leverage for most of the cost of a mount. If you are having a hard time finding enough materials with your Apprentice, you may want to try making an alt character (Squires are good) that uses less MP while hunting for pet quest stuff.
There's a thread in the Gameplay section that has tips and tricks about what maps and monsters drop pet quest items. It's good reading, I would recommend a stop there.

By "spam post", Munkey means post more than one on the same thread in a short period of time. Typically, posting twice or more in a row on the same thread is considered a forum faux pas. The Edit button is your friend if you feel the need to append your post.
In the case of <removed>, however, pretty much everything is a spam post and you can disregard 99.9% of what he says. ;)
