I remember when they first released Helga, and they spawned it in Eldy. No one could kill it, so GM Wildfire went and pretty much 1 shot it, I think it was. I still have screenshots from that, lol.

Oh god. Threads like this are the death of me. I want to say so many things, but very few people would actually read them because they're TL;DR. And I also end up feeling like I'm being an old-player elitist bum.


But I'll say less this time around:

The days when the only way to teleport to Uruga was to die in CP1 or CP2. No scrolls. No gates. No nothing.

When FBZ didn't exist at all.

Come to think of it, back when cash shop didn't exist either.

The race to 59 cap.

When the top guilds were Cloud9 and Asgard but that was okay because a lot of us were friends anyway.

When servers had server-specific GMs. Apoline had Steam. Teva had Dakkon. Bijou? Epith? What were those?


My only regret was that I wasn't able to get the closed beta title. I made an account at that time, but wasn't able to play for lack of a beta key. But then again, you could only get those titles if you were in Teva.

...new stuff to me. No offense, but alot of us who worked for our levels found that Tower extremely annoying. The clerics and tanks whtho can't do anything at 6x or 8x now? That's because they never learned to play their class while getting plvl'd on cookied quests in that Tower.

I also for the LONGEST time wanted to be in We_Are_Kitsune. I had an obsession with Foxes.

And when minimum level requirement for most was level 30 xD

I remember when Asgard and two other guilds warred the guild I was in at the time because of something our guild master did. Guild master logged off and I was left alone with the all in Eldy. To top it all off, it was during a boss spawn event in Eldy, so I was getting killed by the mobs and the guilds, lol. Good times.

Fiesta blows, in all honesty now. Constant repetition, lack of new content that doesn't require flashing the credit card around, flood of idiotic people, etc. What really makes Fiesta a cruddy game is the fact that some people were actually around when Fiesta had fun things, such as events, good GMs, fun people, and was just all around enjoyable to level. 79 and 89 cap were a lot of fun. Leveling with friends and everything. Now, people constantly have to spend money to keep up with everything, people rarely grind in a large party and have fun with it anymore. It sucks. I suppose if I would have came in during this cap, it wouldn't be so bad, but since I started at 79 cap, and the game was actually fun, I can't keep myself to keep playing the game anymore. It's just horrible compared to what it used to be.

Probably why so many people ragequit (term I learned from the game I play now, and it's pretty self explanitory xD)

I agree with all of that. Since I came back, it definitely doesn't feel as fun as it did. Also, pretty much EVERY party I've been in now, have just been constant boring grinding. By that I mean, no-one speaks. Ever. It's like, an unknown thing to them apparently o.O It's strange, because when I played before it was the main way I made friends really :\ It's sad. I hate that barely anyone I knew doesn't play anymore :( The new community definitely isn't what it used to be. I can totally see why people rage-quit.

Back in 07 christmas, when a GM played Santa, I heard someone shout "AOE." So like the nerd I am, I ask "Did you mean Age of Empires?" Santa whispered me and was like "HAHA OMG YOU'RE FUNNY!" =)

Since then, I now know "aoe" stands for "Area of Effect." xD

Or when we all were like, "Errr, why is 'clam' blocked?"
Someone VERY generously told me it was a word for something else.
I was like... "WHA?
I've never heard THAT!!"



I agree with all of that. Since I came back, it definitely doesn't feel as fun as it did. Also, pretty much EVERY party I've been in now, have just been constant boring grinding. By that I mean, no-one speaks. Ever. It's like, an unknown thing to them apparently o.O It's strange, because when I played before it was the main way I made friends really :\ It's sad. I hate that barely anyone I knew doesn't play anymore :( The new community definitely isn't what it used to be. I can totally see why people rage-quit.

Some people still think you're a girl? Haha :P I remember when we used to party in MT and GC and things, with you on your girl character with the red & black SC dress. xD

I knew he was a guy, I just didn't expect his voice to be so DEEP. xD

You should have seen it when I found out Kai was actually a girl. It was incredibly awkward and embrassing. No, I didn't try to hit on her, I just was like... "Oh, so you're gay? That's cool." While trying to be dimplomatic and not sit there gaping like an open fishy mouthed person.

Yeah, it's extremely boring now. Back at 79/89 cap, it was fun because of the community. People weren't so strict on constantly grinding. They didn't mind just hanging out in places like AEW or CP2 with guildies and stuff. Now, the only time most guildies seem to hang out is when they're grinding together mindlessly or PvPing other people. I miss when I used to just randomly hang out with people on various maps.

Oh wow. I wonder how I'd have grown up if I started MMOs with Fiesta. Fiesta was like my 7th MMO or something (mind you most of the ones before it I'd only played for like a couple of weeks).

Thinking about it, man, you learn new things from every new game you play. The community is always different. You grow up and start hanging out with different age groups as the years grow by. Like when I started with Runescape at 12, everyone else was 12. Maple Story was all 13-14 year olds. When I was 15, I hung out 15 year olds in FlyFF. I joined Fiesta when I was 16 and everyone (except Elias) was my age or higher in Cloud9.

And now I'm almost 19 and don't have time to play anything. Bummer.

I do miss the final few months of 2007 and a bit into the beginning of 2008 though. Everyone knew each other and it was so beautiful. <3 I guess that's also about the time people started making "I MISS THE OLD DAYS" threads. How ironic. It started only 7 or so months after the game went into open beta.

Been around for 2.5 years, but yeah, I suppose your'e right, that's fairly new. In your opinion, where does the line skew from old to new? Two? Three months off of mine? You might be an old player, but have you been playing as long as many people here? Meaning, have you been actually logging in-game, or did you just used to play, took a long time off, and decide to come back to tell people this kind of stuff? Never seen you or even heard of you, so I'm just going to assume the first option and go ahead and tell you that I've actually been playing this game longer because I actually logged in this game and didn't take any extended breaks for nearly two years. This thread wasn't entitled "Remember Closed Beta?" or "Remember a certain cap?" It's called "Do You Remember." With a title like that, a person could post something that happened yesterday, and it'd still be valid in this thread. You're not better than anyone in this thread just because you happened to stumble across this game before others.

I can remember when I actually enjoyed playing Fiesta, maybe too much. This game sucks your life away of you let it! No I stop in every 6 months or so between semesters and see what's new and if I wanna play.
