View Full Version : Horrible freezing and lag

Hi I just started playing Fiesta and really enjoyed it except for the random lag spikes and freezes that I get very frequently. They can last for up to 10 seconds at times which really bites a big chunk out of my effectiveness as a Cleric. Most of the time lagspikes will last so long that I "wake up" out of them either dead or my party dead. They are terrible and occur about every 3 seconds at the most inopportune times!!! The music and sound effects will continue playing through the freezing. This shouldn't be happening! I exceed minimum specs!

Exceed RECOMMENDED specs, looks like!
Are you sure it's hardware lag and not internet problem?

Yes I'm sure it's hardware lag I just said the music keeps playing as well as sound effects. lol

Well they should keep playing regardless as I don't think they're streamed but rather on your computer, unless by sound effects you mean things like people hitting things and stuff. Ambient sound would keep playing.

Well it can't be internet lag. It doesn't feel like it. I get a slightly lesser chance of lagging when I turn the graphics all the way down and Shift+Z. It lags like crazy when people start casting spells.

Sounds like hardware, just making sure. :p When I disconnect everything continues to be animated; just chat won't appear. No FREEZING. An internet problem shouldn't stop your computer from displaying.
Apparently other people have your problem as well, so I hope they address it.

Yes I defragment once a week and just did it yesterday before I started playing Fiesta.
