I see most people with Hammers but others with Mace. I don't know what to chose. Mostly because i don't know the difference. If you can please tell me the difference and what to use. I got a hammer atm and will be using it till lvl 40. Until now i am trying to decide the difference and what to use.

It all depends on your playing style. If your a partygoer and usually play in parties then a hammer is a good choice as you won't be attacking, and if you do your only going to get 1 or 2 hits in (usually).

If you are independent and solo usually, then you should go for the mace. The difference in their abilities is more apparent at higher levels.

Hammers make more damge and crit but slow in attack.
Mace less damge and crit than hammer but faster in attacking.

I prefer hammer becouse hammer and mace are one handed and you can equip it with shield ...

^ This. To elaborate a bit, the mace is considered the solo weapon because solo clerics are usually STR-built. Free stat STR adds a dmg. bonus to every hit you make on a target, so the mace = more hits = more dmg. Additionally, the more often you hit, the more opportunities you have for scoring crits. Bleed (the lvl. 40 mace attack) also has a shorter CD than Trip (its hammer counterpart), especially when empowered.

I personally use a hammer for more damage, but they are slower to attack (by mere seconds..not a big deal)

As I solo as much as I can (though I still intend to be good in parties), I wield a mace :D

Hammers do look neat, but Holy Knights use maces, so I may as well focus on maces on the road there.
