Whats better full end or end/str 2:1

Full end. You get more hp, Def and SB which will help you tank. Not to say that the other build is not good for tanking it's just that Full end is much more useful and needed than a 2:1 Str, End tank.

Tanks are more useful for parties and kq's. Both have disadvantages and advantages, it all just depends on what you want to do.

this coming from a high levl cleric.... Full END are much easyer to keep alive...
it helps keep the PT alive to... if i know the tank can take 11 hits from a mob and there is 3 mobs attacking 3 difrent party members i can consitrait on keeping the others alive untill tank gets TANT cooled down to use again.. then i can heal him just after he tants.

Full END, definitely. I don't even consider STR personally. The only class I view STR as a prime stat is archers.

If you want to tank+deal damage, SPR is the way to go. The benefits of SPR to a tank far outweigh those of STR in my opinion. You not only increase your spirit pool, but you also increase your magic defense and the usefulness of your SP stones, and of course your damage goes up from the extra criticals.

Ideally, for an axe-wielding tank, at level 59 you'll be:

20 SPR
44 END

Or even

14 SPR
50 END

When the level cap is raised, at 79 you'd look like this:

25 SPR
69 END
(I think the lvl 60 quest gives 10 stat points instead of 5. Not sure though..)

i heard that 25 is max anything after that will not give hp or def
i make it +29 and i still getting hp and DEF , is there really a max for end

actually i'm going for the 25 SPR rest END set up.. so far it's really nice, my health and defence aren't that much weaker then a full END but my crit and SP are higher

i'm currently specced 9 END, 7 SPR(and one in STR which was a misplaced point but still) and it's really working out great

to the person above, there's no max, but after 25 you get less benefit from each point

Actually for END/DEX you get full benefit up to +50 and for SPR up to +25.

That's why I always keep thinking +50 END +25 SPR and rest STR sounds good. :p

I'm a cleric, so you can discount my word if you want, but I think it really depends on what purpose you want your fighter to serve. If you want pvp, then you'll definitely need alot more in STR. I think 25 SPR and the rest on STR would be good. However, if you are purely going to do nothing but party and level up, then pure END is the way to go. Personally, I know lvl 54 pure STR fighter can beat a lvl 60 pure END fighter in 1v1, but the pure END fighter is definitely better to have when doing Kingdom Quests and such.

I would go with all END. STR isnt that good unless you put most of your stats into it, because STR only adds 1.2 dmg per skill point added

hi there im pretty new to this game, got a lvl 18 fighter, at the moment i have 10 str
8 end

i usually go around with a couple of friends over ts, but i still want to be usefull after they quit and stuff, is a 1:1 str & end a good build or not? or should i go full end now? please could do with some help thnx ^^

Simply you dont make 2:1 end:str. You may make 2:1 Str:End.

putting 1 str out of 3 stat won't change much in damages, espeically with 1h sword. However, lossing 1 end every 3 stat for tank is big. Lower HP/ Defense/ Shield block rate..

Full END is the best fighter for tanking.

But putting points in SPR might not hurt. after all 50 points in end is the said recommended amount.
