Suggestion about spamming bots

hello everybody

so we are all sick off spamming bots in roumen and elderline and we wish that a gm come and
kick them out, but no one come.

so, why not they make an option when right click on any player it says "assign as bot" then it asks you if you really want to assign that player as a bot.

once this character gets 10 assigns the player get moved to the jail

i think this will make our life "our game play" much easier. lol
* what do you think ?
* any gm comment ?

Not a bad idea, but it would be without a doubt, misused and abused.
People would use it on other people they didn't like.

It's going to be a tough battle to rid ourselves of bots.

people can start a consperacy against 1.

Meaning: 10 PPL saying that 'he/she is a bot'

he/she is sent to jail.While he/she issnt a bot.

so why not it asks the player himself " are you a bot ??!!" if he didn't answer that means that he is a bot, if answered he is not, becuase bots cant mouse click

Think about it this way. Pretend I don't like you. We did a KQ and got into an argument, and being a juvenile brat, I decide I want to get back at you. So I get 9 friends to report you as a bot and you automatically go to jail. Now you're stuck there until a GM comes along for you to convince of your innocence. And if the GM comes to ask me and my friends why we labeled you a bot, we can just say "oops, he looked like a bot and wasn't responding".

There will be players who will abuse automated mechanics like that, which is why GMs exist to be responsible for disciplinary action.

and for the first part, you can't say that he looked like a bot, he should be spamming which is writing the same message again and again and again, of course advertisement messages.

and for the number it could be changed to 50 for example, I don't think that someone can convince 50 to take the risk and do that. :-)

Well, GM_Murdock was cleaning up the spammers few days ago.

My idea for the spammers in town is to IP ban them.

Its just an idea though, if the GMs jailed them, they could just make new characters and spam again.

It's easy to get around...

IP ban would not be good idea anyway.....because many people have dynamic IP that they can change. But most importantly, there are those people, who might be sharing internet (and therefore have the same IP). So if you ban their IP because one of them was acting like a jerk, then the other one cant play either.


I was wondering, cant they give special rights to some selected users (who GM-s find to be responsible and trustworthy), so they can send ppl who spam to jail. I understand that GM-s have really really many things they must take care of (so its logical that they cant be everywhere at once), but thats why it would be good to create someone who would deal with specifically with this one problem. They dont have to have all the rights that GM has but just a right to send spammers to jail. (Or just find more GM-s, so you can keep an eye on the entire game).

PS: How does the reporting system works anyhow? When i try to report someone it says something like "Sending report" (or something) and that text just stays on screen. Only two options are either to press cancel or close button. How can we be sure that these reports are even being sent when we press the close button? If it really does send the report it should say something like "Report successfully sent!" (or something like that)
