Chat not working correctly.

Whenever I log on to play Fiesta, I find that the chat box will not work. The problem is: Anything and everything said in the game is put under party chat and that anything I say does not register and appear in the game. This only started recently, around the time the patch was released. I find this terribly annoying but doesn't my affect game play. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else or am I alone in this matter. How would one go about fixing this?

By the way, I logged on and off to see if that changed anything, I changed all game setting to the default level, and reset my computer, but all without avail. Re-downloading the client would be a last resort, my computer downloads it at 25Kb/Sec. I don't want to wait another 6 hours to get it fixed, but I will if I have to.

Hope this doesn't sound like a stupid suggestion, but have you tried checking the chat filters for each different chat tab? >.>

Once I forgot I'd turned off normal chat in Elderine to avoid the gold spammers, and it's pretty easy to filter those chats by mistake without noticing what you've done.

I don't get why everyone wastes the time to reinstall the client. How the /hell/ would that help anyway?

Oh by the way, I just put the installer on DVD (prep for reinstalling Windows >.>), maybe that would help rather than redownloading?

I set the filters back to default, but I haven't been back on to check if it worked or not. I do remembers messing with them. That could be the problem.

I just checked. It works now. Spammers are back in normal chat. I just have to see if I can talk to people.
