I just got my mage to enhancer today, the build is pure int and I have all +9 end/dex gears.
I made my mage purely for PvP at lvl 60+ so I went to the abyss. there I saw an old pker friend of mine so I attacked. I failed miserably. I admit I'm probably a fail mage but the thing that bothered me was, he is lvl 47 and 3 hitted me. I have t3 scrolls on and a very high lvl buff.(3.5k hp and I forget the def) he had no scrolls or buffs... How the hell did he do this? o.o

later I went against a lvl 60 fighter and the fights were even, I got killed a few times and he got killed a few times. (he also had +9 gears, I asked.)

I think the lvl 47 was charmed, but I don't think even charms could help you that much... anybody have any ideas? It's stupid for me to get annoyed about this but I really want to know how I got pwned so badly by a lvl 47.

Considering you got 3 shot by a level 47 Fighter I'm under the assumption that he was cookied. And yes you'd be surprised how much Mdef, Def and Damage you get 50% cookied let alone 70%. He probably had a +9 weapon considering that and by the way...Mages full +9 still are a bit squishy. If i was ur level and had godly end gears with just a +9 top i think i could beat out your defense.

My 46 mage could quite easily beat a lvl 60 or even higher if he was charmed xD

The math:

My mage has roughly 800 or so mdmg ( not sure about the exact numbers)
with 50% charms that goes to more like 1500

The average for a lvl 70 mage is something like 1200
And I have the same defence as them just with my 46 gear... charmed im even further ahead

So im not really that surprised the fighter was able to beat you xD mages are squish

+9 armour does not make a difference for a Fighter while fighting a Mage, as Mages only hit M.Def (unless using Skellies or auto-attack). +9 Jewelry adds Magic Defence, so fully +9'd Jewelry would give you the edge against Mages (I have +3 on all mine, and it added almost 150 M.def.)

The guy was most likely charmed, or was pure STR with max STR on all gears and +9 Jewelry. Some people make a profession out of killing people 10 levels or more higher than them, so it would be uneven.

in a way your post confuses me... you talk about a lvl 46 mage being able to beat a lvl 60+ easily with charms, then go back to a lvl 46 fighter beating a lvl 60 mage...? at the part where you said that you have the same defence as them even with your lvl 46 gear are you talking about your mage? because it would be kinda messed if a lvl 46 mage had the same def as a lvl 60 mage(or 70 not sure witch you are talking about)

a godly lvl 46 fighter can easily beat a 6x mage with plus 9 rings and stuff..I've seen it with my own eyes. If the 46 fighter is pure str with high dex and end gears...it's over...imo/deva and its done...simple. A mage 46 cant go up against even a fail lvl 60 fighter and win tho...

Tough Cookie Pack: http://store.outspark.com/fiesta/item/10175 Charm of Might increases your damage and defense by 50% for two hours. Add a 20% Charm on top of that, you have "70% cookied" or "70% charmed".

i am a charm princess.. and also uses all +9 gears (including accessories),
a charm is only a multiplier, if you dont have the right gears and charm up fighting the same lvl of oponent with all the right gears also charmed, you will lose..

but on your case,. a charmed lvl46 fighter (must be a veteran gamer) can actually kill a 60 mage.. thats if the fighter catches the mage.. ;)
if your a mage, you need to be skillful specially on game play,. and remember charm also multiplie mdef..

my damage from 5000 can increase up to 10000 with 70% cookied + charm :3 def from 1500 to 2500 :3
