Confused Please Help

Ok here's my issue. Every time I type something in to answer a person when I'm out in the field the box you type in just stays there when I'm finished and want to continue on playing. Well my problem is I can't get it to go away without logging on and off. And when it stays there and I try to use my shortcuts like 'e', '3' or whatever it goes in the text box instead of functioning like it should. I'm tired of having to log off and on, does anyone know what to do???

Press "enter" again or...

Open options ( the "esc" key), then go to Game settings, on the far right bottom you will see "Command Prompt". Uncheck it, then click apply. Now your chat box will auto-close after every message stopping the need to hit enter again to close it. :)
