Help plz!Quick question

Hello there.
I have become a CleverFighter class and wish to buy new weapons in Elderine but they are still displayed in red colours and looks like as if I am no CleverFighter:(
Someone please tell me how this is working.
And by the way, do you people all get your weapons upgraded at a smith? It comsumed my 5 silver pieces and destroyed my weapon...

You have done the job change quest correct?

You can not wear any 20+ items, weapons, or use the skills until AFTER it is completed.

Weapons can be broken, degraded, upgraded by the smith. It all takes luck to upgrade them. Many go through 100s of silvers just trying to upgrade their weapons.
A cheaper way is just to buy one from a player.
