Hello, the guild i was in was recently attacked by another guild today. Now we are a bunch of lvl 20-30 newbies (not noobs) and the guild that was attacking us were lvl 5x's. As you can see they murdered us. I feel that changes have to be made because this gives lvl 5x's incentive to attack low lvl players. I feel that a fix by making it having both guilds have to agree to war each other first or make a lvl cap of average lvl for the entire guild to attack each other would be a good idea. Now i am hoping to get a gm to notice this because this can become abuse if it is allowed to continue.

Usually guild wars are not something high lvls just do to kill newbies or lower lvls. There is usually always a reason that the guild in question had war declared on them. 9 times out of 10 its someone training high lvls in uruga, ksing or just acting like blatant A$$holes to higher lvls.

Also we have declare war on guilds in the past from harassment from newbies spamming "Power LVL ME" or constant "BUFF ME", after which you do and they die 2 seconds later in uruga and come back with the same bs "BUFF ME" "BUFF ME" "BUFF ME".

You gotta admit, he does have a point.

Though he forces me onto my soapbox: STOP with the whole noob/newb thing, its stupid. there is no difference. when you say it with "oo" you mean it as an insult whereas "wb" is a newcomer. NO
newbie/newb/noob/noobie are all the same, it's pronounced the same, it is the same word. period , no "if"s, "and"s or "but"s quit using one word to describe two types of people, no matter how you spell it, it IS one word.
Someones gonna have to come up with a different word to call jerks, cause the noob thing just ain't happening.

That being said, I agree with you for the simple fact that (though most guilds would only attack out of vengence) some probably do it because the're jerks.

Someone in your guild had to have done something to incur the wrath of the attacking guild. Such things include training members in a high level places like uruga, the Ancient Elvin Woods, or the Forest of Slumber. Others may include kill-stealing or the worst of all trash-talking.

Its not abuse when your members initiate the war - so I'd advise you to look at your members and remove the ones that cause problems. Keeping such members around can lead to what happened in uruga a week ago. A member of a level 30 guild which I wont name caused a fight with at least 3 level 50 guilds.

Needless to say he was repeatedly spawn-raped in Uruga, elderine and roumen. Guild members suffered deaths too.

A level 50 guild wouldn't think of declaring war on a lower level guild without a good reason. Doing so can often lead to wars amongst the high-level guilds for unsportsmanlike conduct, which can even further escalate due to alliances amongst each guild.

I disagree because it means the lower levels cant do things and get away with it then. Uruga anyone? I've warred one guild in my duration out there because a low level (20-30s) was out there trying to leech experience off me repeatedly. I warred because they wouldnt quit even when asked.

If you don't like GWs, then find a non-GWing guild. I know it sucks hearing that but its a sad fact.

Another option is to name the guild directly rather than give vague reports. Information gets passed along, believe it or not. I have attacked my share of low level guilds. Mostly because I found THEM picking on guilds lower than themselves (or joining alongside a high level guild to 2v1 another guild).

... What about 'nub'? :V (Sorry, temptation's an evil thing.)

Anyway I agree with AngellicDiety. Either someone in the lower level guild declared war on the higher level guild, that higher level guild just wants to look dumb and kill lower levels, or someone from one guild annoyed the crap out of the other guild.

i had an incident happen to me. i have a lvl 43 cleric in chaos_order and 2 alts a mage and fighter. i was on my fighter doin the mara quest not the KQ. i then saw one of my guild members rolling by on his way to BH i asked him if he could help me and he said yes, so we were waiting then mara spawned went up to mara and was tanking mara almost killed her when another fighter came and KS me. i didnt get the kill and that made me hella mad and i told him not to do that again, so i waited for another mara and the same thing happen so i told if u dont stop i will war u and he said fine so switch to my cleric and my guild member pwned him in SoG and roumen for bout a half hour i felt better afterwards. :)

Yup. I've warred guilds solely because they were being rude.

I was partying with two other players and along comes someone (who happened to friend list me before) asking for a spot in the party. We declined... several times and he decided that something is better than nothing and decided to KS us. His damage was miniscule but it was annoying enough. War declared.

I hate going to war with lower leveled guilds only because more often than not they would just log off and/or stay out of town. And what's so fun about killing someone in 2-3 hits? We have better things (such as collecting 2 mill+ exp) than to kill off a bunch of people 10, even 20 levels below.
