Very often when I set up my mini house, a message pops up with 'buffer overrun detected....' I was told by a very knowledgable computer person, that that means that its a probem with the game, not my comp. I only get buffer overrun when setting up mini house, but I dont always get it, just very often. So it disconnects me and I reload and start setting up my mini house again, and again, I get buffer overrun. Anything I can do? If not, please fix this problem, its really quite annoying.

i'm not really sure what that is... seems like a type of glitch or something... and the computer company is not always right even though they know a lot about computers, they do not know as much about games... you should ask a gaming expert.

Gaming experts have a understanding about the game as much as computers. If you have like a geek squad people in your neighborhood or something you should ask them they might know what to do...

If they can't help you then i have no idea what you are going to do... but anyway try that

OR...

...you could try looking in the troubleshooting forum.

Like looking for a needle in a haystack, I know. But there are quite a few people with this issue.

Here's one thread (I'm only posting this one because it was easiest to find since I posted in it): http://www.outspark.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25873

I had the same problem yesterday too. This is how I fixed it:

1) Uninstall Fiesta
2) Clear out any unwanted programs in your computer
3) Run disk cleanup
4) Install Fiesta.

This fixed it for me. I hope that helps! Some people also suggested defragmenting. It takes a long time though so I'm glad I didnt have to resort to it :)

A buffer overrun (buffer overflow) is where data gets written past where it's really supposed to, resulting in it copying over other parts of your memory, so then when you need it, tada! Crash.

It's probably not actually being overwritten, that's just the way outspark wrote the error handler, so it'll just end the program and clear the memory once it gets that error.

As for fixing it, reinstalling it should solve the problem if the original wasn't bugged. You may also be able to fix it by not using any RAM intensive applications or any buggy applications.

Whoops, I didn't mean to type all that. (I got bored while vending.) Anyway, hopefully Outspark will revise that.
