Hi Guys!

I made my char to Knight.
I thought when i choose Knight i get more DEX, and SPR

How can that be that a Gladiator (without armor, weapons, etc) can have more dex, spr than me?

I got the feeling, that since i changed to Knight nothing happens, just the new skills.

So why ppl should choose a Knight, when a Gladiator get more HP and SP .. and we get like nothing ... In my Opinion there is something wrong.

Best regards

you're saying a naked gladiator has more dex and spr than u when u are fully equipped?

i wasn't aware of any bonus to dex or spr for either class.. there was rumor that knights got a dex boost, but that was disproven by knights that frequent the forums.

it would make sense to me that gladiators would get a dex boost (lighter armor typically means higher evasion right? running around in 100 pounds of heavy plate doesn't seem to be synonymous with quick, nimble movement) rather than the HP boost that they currently get.

this was discussed before on older threads, u can go look it up.

perhaps when higher lvled armors are available, u'll see more distinct (logical) separation between the DD and Tank classes.

A knight from my perspective, is basically a level 9x fighter, with 2 skills buckler and neglect. From what I know through my knight friends the sp addition is negligible and there's no dex addition.

Also, I don't think my glad got a dex boost when he hit 100, but yea I got some str and like 900 hp more I think.

no no we booth were naked .. but it was sooo strange

edith:
a gladitor gets hp and sp boost more than 500

and a knight gets hp and sp boost but under 100

Yeah well, its been brought up for rebalancing.

Glads got way more than they deserved imo.

Knights got bonned, again though this isnt limited to just those 2 prestige classes.

SS and Rangers / Warlocks and Wizards share the same problem.

Ive not delved to much into Guardian vs HK but that one seems to be them most balanced go figure.

His build may have had DEX in it, neither a Knight nor Gladiator get's a DEX boost at 100 even though the descritpion for a Knight is:

"Attacks his opponent with deadly accuracy(?)"

That may just apply to how all the 1 handed swords have like 637 aim or something. A Knight in my opinion is still a force to be reckoned with, it has it's roots in the Fighter-class which is supposedly one of the mainstream PvP classes. Saying a Knight is a 9X Fighter with Neglect/Buckler is like saying a Gladiator is a 9X Fighter with Violence/Tomohawk, since you prestige at cap there is still a small difference between the two.

Both have acces to exactly the same armour, both to the same Hellgaits and BKRs, and both share 90% of the exact same skills. A Glad gets 600 more HP (extenderless) and 90 more STR, while a Knight gets 34 END and 194 more SP (extenderless). The only real difference between both is the armour/build you pick out for them. A Knight can ignore damage and a Glad can swing an axe faster, big difference FTW?
