View Full Version : KQ and Guilds? I got an idea!

As I see, then a lot is complaining about the KQ's after Mara, because there are only 3 or under.
Then I thought! I've been playing so many MMORPG's before, and then I came with this idea due to my experince!
Why not make Guild Events? I was thinking something like Guild KQ's - Or special Guild bosses?
In the games I've played, you get all the big items from these kinda mobs, and that works out great. But there is a hook. If you make it like free mobs running around, then all the higher guilds will win all the time. Therefore it should be made like the current KQ system, which is made for normal players - where it only requires a certain lvl.
Therefore you could make a new thing called a crew-lvl! You can make your crew get EXP by doing these kinda KQ's and by that you will be able to raise to a HIGHER KQ when reaching xx EXP!
Edit: You can have some kinda bar where you get xx rating to the bar everyday, and 1 KQ requires xx from the bar. You can also earn rating in the KQ's for your bar and so, perhaps.
Like fame, where you can buy AS for them. Thats the system you could use, so you wont get overflow, and you dont have to lag the servers, because of massivve Guild KQ's daily.
To seperate high guilds from lower guilds, there will be a bar called; Guild Power! To join specific KQ's, it could be a requirement to have xx Guild Power. You gain this power, as your members gain lvls, i.e. lvl 50 gives 5000 GP.

Quick tip: this is a forum, not a chatroom: replies take longer here. Hours between relies is NORMAL.
Now, it doesn't seem a way to solve the KQs so much as it's a suggestion for a new guild-based KQ if I'm reading it right. If so, then I'm all for it. More quests are always a good thing and it's something extra for the guilds to do together. How can it go wrong?

But with the number of guilds there currently are, and the rate that said number continues to grow, I hope that if such a feature were to be implemented then the number of KQ slots should be ten at least...

I know replies takes long, yeah. Just sent it to make sure that comments and opinions are good :P
And yes, KQ's are fun, but Guild events are a fresh idea I think.

I dont want the system to be like slots and stuff.
You actually gave me a new idea. You can have some kinda bar where you get xx rating to the bar everyday, and 1 KQ requires xx from the bar. You can also earn rating in the KQ's and so perhaps.

That's a better idea, similar to the Respect system in Saints Row for the Xbox 360. I would add restrictions wherein experience gained from quests increases the guild exp bar faster than grinding monsters, and only the first reward of a repeating quest gives such a significant boost to the said exp bar.

Indeed.
Would I be able to contact an admin or a game-owner to post the idea, since I see that a lot thinks the idea is good (Including you), or who do I need to contact? ;)
Btw, if you got more content, then just post it. You will get the credits for it aswell.

Well, u have a nice idea, l also hope that more events are added in Fiesta, cause recently those events are not enough, plus KQ is TOO hard to join. The players in Fiesta are increasing, so should be more events.

Thats true. To join a KQ, you cant have a lazy connection. With this kinda Guild Event, you arent "tied" to have a high internet connection, which is awesome! ;)

I do think that their should be "guild levels" to seperate the lower guilds from the higher guilds a bit. I also agree that there should be instances for those guilds, determined by the "guild level."

What I don't agree with is.. well, the very basics of the idea. It limits level range for members, if you know what I mean. A 10-level difference is deadly enough.
This doesn't really strengthen guild unity.
No matter how you devise the so-called 'guild kq', you'd always have to take into consideration the members' levels. And, based on this, there will always be some workaround, making people flock between guilds just to participate in the events.
It will:
1. make noobs spam even more as they relentlessly request to join guilds every time they find some player in one;
2. make the interested (about these 'guild kqs') people pick guilds mainly for their members' ability to do the events.
I support your idea for guild events, but I'm afraid your current resolution may create other issues in the process.
You may as well turn it into a Guild survival PvE event and run it on special occasions. (such us, let's say, you can only run it once a month, or upon asking a gm)

Lower guilds and higher guilds? How will you assort that?
You could make a bar for power. The more power (The higher lvl) your members are, the more you gain to your power bar! How awesome! Thanks! :)

I would like you to take my idea, tell me where I went wrong, add some stuff, and send it to me in a PM! I get what you say. Thats why I was asking from the start - as stated in the topic. Is it possible?
I like how you take your time to reply though. Thanks!

Kind of confusing to me ^^"
So, just create new KQs specifically reserved for those in guilds? Try looking up FlyFF and Clockwork... this will just prompts a lot of farming guilds to come into existence.
If that's not what you meant though, ignore me please.

If I understand, I think it's a good idea. I just don't believe the GMs will consider it due to all of the other things they have to tend.
EDIT: After reading other people's responses, I've realized this isn't the best idea due to complications it will arise. Shattering guild unity, for example.

I know what you mean. That is why I need to talk with some of the people in charge, to see if we can do anything to that.
But I dont think it will be that big problem. If you could please explain to me what trouble you think it might cause, then I will be able to forward it and see what changes I can make to the idea.

I get your concern. But I dont see it as a big problem. As I already wrote, then there is a bar, which will limit you to only do the KQ's your bar makes you able to do. Not like "I can join this event all the time", but more like "I can join this event all the time I earned enough points to do so, which is probably as much as some people join KQ's daily, or even less!"
Reply to that, and leave your opinion.
