My mage got killed in the abyss today by a lower level PKer mage...and the PKer said this after killing me...it got me to thinking...
Normally this is said when you have a sense of pride at killnig a player... and I don't see how it can be a source of pride..I mean, did you kill a higher level player? yes...but let's look at more than just the fact you killed a higher level...let's look at HOW you do it:
1) You used SC to attack a player without SC -this already should put a dent in your pride as you are paying money for a TEMPORARY boost in stats -the other player's stats will be the same in 1 hour/30 days as they are now
2) You attacked a player not targetting you with no warning -so your target was not intending/prepared to fight you
3) You were fully scrolled with a cleric in your party to heal you, and you attacked a player that was unscrolled and alone
4) You attacked the player after respawning, before they were able to recover their HP or scroll up
Maybe I'm dense...I don't see how you feel a sense of accomplishment from using SC, scrolls and a party to kill a higher level that had no SC was unscrolled, alone and not aware of your presence prior to your attack, let alone how you get enough pride from doing so to say "owned" afterwards.

Some people are jerks, what can I say?
This reminds me of the time I was afk in my shroom in the abyss, and came back dead. Turns out it was a mage that killed me, so I went back up to him and 1 on 1. After i killed him 5 times he calls me a fail.
Hmm. Attacking an afk defenseless shroom is 'pro' but going head on 1 on 1 against an equal opponent is 'fail?' I don't copy.

Ok, finally! a thread like this pops up so...Can anyone tell me why when a SC'd out Mage/Fighter kills you afk or before you even saw them come ninja you why do they call you "fail" or "sad" after your ready to fight and you can spam them like 100 times? ._.

I like when I act afk in abyss. one time 2 guys came in and attacked me. When I hit about 100 hp I stoned and attacked them. True they were about 5 levels lower then me, but I loled then when they called me a fail pker.

Meh I'd forget about it honestly, people who think they dominate all because they drench themselves in SC obviously have no confidence in a fight without it. SC can even turn players with white gear into friggin' ninjas if you are not careful, and seeing as this mage was partied up and ready to attempt a follow-up kill on you they were probably attempting to burn as much out of their SC as they could before their time was up and they went about their way being fail.
SC is artificial strength, sure it is part of the game but if your good enough you don't need it.

You are right. But do not let these type of people ruin your game. Bottomline, you turn your computer off, and you still have your logic which will take you anywhere you want in real. They turn off their computer, and all they have, is the supposedly achievement of killing a bunch of pixels.

Yes SC is part of the game. Pkers have good gears? Well that depends on how you see it. A low level pker's gears are nothing compared to a lvl 105's gears, for example.
So what is 'godly' and what is not, varies according the situation you are looking into. To me, pkers are stuck in a level (let's say, 66, for example) because in those levels everyone in the area they pk are lower levels, and they are advantaged. Yet they have not experienced half of the game, they ignore most of the basis of this game, their knowledge on gears/skills and so on is limited to their levels, so being a pker is pretty much being proud of recognizing to the entire server you play on, that you do not know this game.
Bottomline, what do killing points do?

You are right that sometimes people rely way too much in SC, but we can't deny that SC is so part of this game nowadays (they way the publishers intended it to be), that is almost impossible to separate non SC from SC players. Remember that even an enhanced weapon is, basically, SC usage (despite the fact you might have bought the SC to enhance it or not).

I completely agree. If you are letting a lowbie beat you at all you need to step up your game. Furthermore, accomplishments?? This game aint nothing to be proud of. does it get you chicks? Help you in school? This is the game that wow nerds make fun of. Man and I am sick of hearing whining about SC.If you are too cheap to buy sparkscash, then stop playing the game. Don't be mad at other people cause YOU are broke. And if you are not broke and choosing not to spend the couple of bucks on inexpensive items to give you a little edge, then oh well. stop whining, or learn how to get free sparkscash.

Quoted for truth, Kpts are just there for show if anything. Hell I have almost as many as Thug and that is just from using the PvP KQ to grind with. PKers who are modest and show skill with and without SC will always be viewed better in the eyes of a server rather than a Perma-character who is just sat there all day, spawn-killing people entering the Abyss, whom are there most of the time to take advantage of one of the better grind spots in the lower levels.
But unfortunatly, everyones idea of fun varies and as such there will be those who enjoy doing the latter all day long.
