Okay, so i haven't played in a really long time and i noticed that you can buy furniture. But how do you buy a house so that you can put that furniture somewhere???

It's a quest. I believe it's called "Building a New Estate" and Grandpa Robin in Roumen gives it to you.

do the "Estate Quest". The quest can be started by talking to Grandpa Robin in Roumen.

^-- What they said. After you complete the entire quest (it has several parts) you receive a skill-like scroll. Use it, and you will have access to the "estate" system. After that, simply click H on the keyboard, and select Enter Estate (you must be in a inner town area where you can set up estate). It will then ask you for a name for your house (dont worry you can always change this), a password if you want, how many people are allowed in, and then enter. Once inside, if you have bought furniture, you can right click the furniture to put it in your houses inventory. Once there, you can select it from the houses inventory, and place it within your house.

Note: the furniture does degrade in time. You might come back into your house a few weeks later to find it all cobwebby and dusty and you cannot use it anymore. You can repair this with a sc item or buy more furniture.

To leave once in, click the blue running man and confirm. The rest is most easily learned through personal experience/exploration.
