wand better than staff?

i was just wondering what the use of staff is... apart from being wizard's lvl 100 onwards sole weapon... i mean.... wands have higher mdmg and higher crit? so why use staff?

Basically either for the aim, looks, or for lack of available wands with better stats at the time of purchase.

There isn't much difference between a wand and staff. The crit and damage of a wand is slightly more than a staff so you don't lose out on much either way. The aim however is usually the biggest factor, but that can be fixed with dex in build or gear so there really isn't a big difference between the two.

Seems fine to me, now if your into PVP a decent amount of dex in your gear will be needed cuz mage aim isn't that great. I wouldn't worry about evasion so much for pvp seeing as the only things missing you will be low level fighters/clerics xD

well in my opinion dmg difference is not too big, but aim difference is, lol i decided to pick staff because at the moment of pvp'ing .. there's nothing more annoying than seeing MISS.. MISS.. omg MISS again >.< and i have been full int built mage with max dex on gears and using wand would still miss hits even if it was bkr or HG xD then i tested with staff and WOOT i rarely miss anymore 1350 aim base *^*.. i'd say its always good to add some dex on build (i added some after i hit 100 it works really nice). Aim difference between both weapons is like 10% at higher lvl so its big :s so if you like wands better try adding max dex on gears and 50 dex on build :P hope i helped you

so i guess i'm good if i'm a pve with +9 staff cos i miss less and i don't have 50 dex in build. thanks :)

Overall, I think wands are better. Staffs have the look and the aim, though. :o Wands are just sticks. I fix the "MISS MISS" problem with AIM scrolls. I always keep a stack of T1 aim with me. xD

staff is better because more aim and is cool than wand and very little damage difference between the wand and staff

if you play apo and ur in the fbz using them for pvp they'll get purged off.......by me. lol.
