I remember being very exicited when the Guild Tournament was in the process of being released and having great hopes for it, however due to some of the elements around it my guild hasn't gotten around participating. Some of the major factors are the numbers of participating guilds and the discrepancy of level and number of members.
Now, i haven't really followed the current participation pattern, and I am not aware if any 'unnofficial' rules exist. However, I think it will be nice to get Bijou's guilds together and attempt to bring some organization to the tournament in order to increase the number of participating guilds. Examples of how to do this would be for ourselfs, as a server, to create tiers of guilds (maybe depending on level and size), and some sort of agreed schedule (like smaller guilds on week 1, medium size guilds week 2), etc.
But before anything, I would like to know if there is already something in place, if enough guilds are willing to try to work out something. I know it will be hard if we do try, maybe it won't even work out - but I think at least its worth the try.
