Being Stalked by "buff plz"ers

Alright, my cleric has only been able to buff people for about a day and half. However, I immediately noticed that some of the people I was buffing were following me for a long time after I buffed them. ESPECIALLY if it was a famous "buff plz"er.

Even if I buff them, people occasionally just follow me. I stopped and asked one guy what he wanted, and he just sat there until I started moving again.

This is not only creepy but also very uncomfortable.

Do they want another buff?

Are they mad that you buffed them?

Do they want you to be their buff slave forever?

I am seriously not exagerating about this, anyone else ever have this situation?

I hate this feeling sometimes people randomly follow me around and start asking me questions. And dont get me wrong i love helping out the new players, but when their slow typers its just annoying.

It goes like this kinda.

Hey fire, where d u get those swords on your back? their cool.

I politely tell them the 2 ways to get them including plenty of =3 faces.

Then it starts,

Oh thats cool, 1 minute pause

so another question

1 minute later i start walking away

how did you get your sword to shine

I answer immediately. And this just goes on foever for around 30 minutes and I just wan to tely somewhere sometimes DX

Anyone else notice lately there have been a lot of ppl lvl 1-15 asking classes other then clerics for buffs xD its pretty entertaining when im dancing in roumen and getting big mobs of slimes for new players to kill without taking dmg, then all of a sudden I get 2 or 3 of them asking for buffs from me xD

When i get sick off ppl like that i either scroll to a other town, i move to a place where they cant survive or i just scream to em how sick i get on this person and ill do many ;D and !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And ill ignore them! And when the shift+z was working i just used to do that to skip buff ppl when im not in the mood or something like that ;)

Ive played the Cleric class in every game ive ever played, and personally when a nooby asks for buffs, give them one. Just one! And then... if they are truly nooby they should leave you alone. :D Or you can say, I dont have buffs. :D

Elderine seems to be the most overrun with these buff stalkers, so I generally just head towards Uruga. I prefer it there anyway, since there are no spam bots in Uruga.

Yup. I'm on my archer and sometimes people in Eldy or Roumen come up to me and go like "buff plz". I look around to see if there are any actual 47+ clerics in the vicinity, and oddly, there are none. :/ It confuzzled me.

@OP, yeah. That does sound really frusterating. I'm still working on my cleric to get her to 47 to buff, so I can't say I have any experience with that other than what I just said above. Oh, that, and people come up to my cleric and go like:
Them: buff plz/pls/plx/plos/pl0x/plox/plis
Me: I can't buff yet, sorry. O_o
Them: buff plz/pls/plx/plos/pl0x/plox/plis

Even though it's treated as a crime: to buff another player or to have achieved that level. I would first say that Masters should "buff" their Apprentices [wow! that just doesn't sound....right]. Now I would say that I have less than ten levels before I am able to "buff" other players.

Although after [r]estoring a few noobs, I was followed a few times. It's a concern for only about the first ten minutes. Then I understood that:

in order to lead, you must have followers.

Since then from [r]estoring players, to [r]eviving players, I've been invited to [p]arty. It's not just about having a strong player on your team, or a high ranking player on your team, but just a good team player that can escort, noobs in, and out of difficult situations that help them to learn the game. I even give away some good items knowing I will earn them again. Now that one lucky noob will not quit the game, and will keep pushing further.

These actions will carry on from one noob to the next noob.

Oh yeah...I can't wait to give out free buffs!

I love buff plz people, cause they will follow me all over the map. Inevitably someone asks "May I please have a buff?" To which I happily stalk them and buff them!

Im glad im not the common mean cleric who is upset when some random low lvl player ask for a buff, personally i dont care if they say "buff plox, buff me plz, may i get a buff please?" the case is if he is asking its because he needs it and u can help just presing 3 keys (endure/immune/heal), A lot of players cant use the "formal" english u learned in your country and thats from my perspective kinda egoist, the people is going to be always happy after if u buff them, even if they say "thanks, thx, thank you very much!" it will be always the same case. If someone is rude, just ignore, but from 1k people i have buffed, no one has been rude to me.

i feel good after giving a lot of buffs, it doesnt cost ya to rest to regain SP (honestly they wait for it), even if they spelled it wrong or not its just common sense duh, or if they asked for a buff or not, i just give them.... so people stalking me for a buff i just give them and they go away immediately (even if i had to buff everyone around the map), i dont care if they say thank you or not. whats more important is that you helped a person.

I personally LOVE giving buffs.....and I've never had this problem......I have although had people when i'm on my main (Mage) ask me for buffs..................-,- do they just not understand that mages DON'T HAVE SHEILDS......man it's annoying!

I cant buff yet but i heal people when they need it, if there being rude and saying stuff like "heal me you dumb cleric" I just tell'em ill meet'em in PvP and they leave (:

Clerics can kill easy ... expecially ... when people 10 or more lvls below them are dumb enough for follow them into a pvp area.

Higher lvl people "buff shop" for buffs from higher lvl clerics or clerics with different gears. I actually had fighters in my DT party complain because I didn't have a blue set of armor to enhance my buffs.

I have both a cleric able to buff and a warrior. On occasion, the poor confused low levels ask my warrior for a buff, which i find pretty funny ^^. We are supposed to be family and friends. But some people want to stay in their own little world.So when someone asking for buff alot is cause they working their quest solo. Only time i ask for a buff is when i need to fight a boss either than that i am always buffless. Stalking is bad no matter what though lol.

Sorry ... don't see snobbery ... I see people begging for anything from buffs, to gold, to SC, to help (generally Plvl'ing) from any old stranger walking down the street.

Sorry ... but you are not family any more that someone I pass walking down the steet. A guild is more like family ... so go ask your guild family for help and leave the rest of us alone.

They should use the 7 "buff" scrolls you can make in-game ... then maybe they won't need that buff after all.

agree, also an invisible suit will help, if not then just unneuip your gears an you will notice the "buff plz" ers will poof, i do this when im not in the mood of buffing, but i have to go to Ekderine. Uruga is not so dangerous for a cleric so you must feel safe in there. xD
